This seems to be not too bad a deal as its only 12 months. The Quidco will give you a month and a bit of your bill back as well. It works out at £699 (£639 if you include Quidco), but for that you get a decent amount of texts and minutes.

1200 Mins
Unlimited text
750mb internet

The tesco deal of the same type (12 mth contract) works out at £642 but you get rubbish amount of minutes (250).

Guys, even this is a cold deal, can someone point me in the direction of a better one? I'm looking for advice as well, i cant find anything cheaper.

this is a gd deal for an iphone 4. probably the best. the reason why its voted cold is becasue the majority of HUKD think an iphone is too expensive.

If you are relying on Quidco to help out, probably better going with phones4u as you get £80 cashback on this deal with them - the Vodafone iPhone £50 deal for 12 months - gives 1200 minutes, 3000 texts, 750MB data allowance and 1GB WIFI. Have attached the link below - 3rd deal from the bottom.

This was just a quick search and might be better options.

The one plan on three.co.uk £69 up front, £35 a month. 2000 any network minutes, 5000 three to three minutes, 2000 texts, all you can eat data. Also £107.06p cashback at topcashback. Anybody know anything better?

Edited for typos sorry...

Its not a bad overall price, esp considering you only need to fork out £99 initially on the phone. But @ £50 pm that seems like it costs alot, but you do get more call time etc!

bear in mind its likely this phone will be 'old' in a matter of months.

My mum got a free iPhone 4 on a 12 months contract for £35 per month. It was £89 for the phone online but she went into the retail store (Plymouth) they gave her the phone for free. I've only got an iPhone 3GS and my contract's not up for renewal yet so can't really say myself exactly what plan/promotion she's on but I do know she hadn't had an upgrade in over 3 yrs and was previously on a £30 per month tarrif.

How on earth is that cheaper? thats £1028.88 in total...

£50 a month! £50 a month!

Also remember, possible iPhone 5 in June. Might be worth waiting to get an iPhone without a signal problem or a cheaper iPhone 4.

I've been scouring iPhone deals recently and don't think this deal deserves all the frost!

The iPhone 4 16GB costs about £500 (for a brand new, full warranty one). Anything that you pay above that price (i.e. for the phone service) has to compete with the best SIM-Only deals around.

This deal has a total cost of around £699 (or £639 after Quidco) which means you are paying £199 (or £139) for 12 months of service. That's £16.58/mo (or £11.58/mo) for 1200mins, unltd texts + 750MB of data, which is very good.....

I would however want to be VERY careful to not go over the 12 months with this deal tho. In effect the cost of the phone is being amortised over the 12 months of payments - i.e. of the monthly rental, £41.67/month is purely the phone cost. Every month you go over the 12 months is a BIG win for the phone company, and what they are counting on people doing......

This deal is quite a bit cheaper than anything else I've seen for the iPhone 4. It also has the advantage of a low up-front payment (£99) if you don't want to spend too much in one go. I actually think it deserves some heat.

btw, Tesco do a 12mos tariff with 750mins, but that's £235 upfront and £40/mo (total £715 - which is quite a bit more). Any Tesco deal does however have the advantage that the upfront payment and the first month's rental can currently be paid for in clubcard vouchers at 2x.....

Finally, whilst I think this is a good deal for an iPhone, it still doesn't tackle the bigger question of whether it's actually good value overall. For the same cost as this one year iPhone deal you can get and run a Samsung Galaxy S for two years (at Carphone Warehouse)...... That's a heck of a difference, and probably why a lot of folks have voted this cold (unfairly IMO).

good deal for an IPhone 4 if you wanted one (personally I don't!).

phone deals aren't worth posting mate... unless it's 10p a week over a 50 year contract for a rubbish phone you've got no chance here!

the gooner

£50 a month! £50 a month!

But then you have a phone that you could sell for like £500...
