I just called to change my iphone tariff to the one below and they said that the new tariffs now come with 10 free photo messages and internet tethering. Might not suit many people but if you are not using all your minutes then it might be worth downgrading and saving on photo messages .

Y cold? I didn't know that. But how do u mean tethering? Still it's deducted from ur allowance? Or is it an extra allowance u get for tethering

deducted from your allowance.

Ok kinda pointless then. A jail broken iPhone can do that anyway

Then go to Cydia and download MyWi 4

tried no good says it depends on openssi, mobilesubstrate>=0.9.3367-1, firmware <4.0

It means ur firmware is less than 4. Ur probably on 3.1.3 and not updated it as the latest is 4.3.1.
Best firmware to be on at present is 4.2.1 and jailbreak with greenp0ison. Please do some research before you update, if u nr not comfortable with this sort of stuff pls consult someone who does.

I am on 4.2.1 iphone 4 firmware 03.10.01

Kinda on the same note.

I just called them so see if I can change to one of the new tariffs until the end of my 24 month contract on a 3Gs (end July 2011) as I get 600 minutes and struggle to even use 60 a month. Turns out I can change but it'll cost me an extra £1.76 a month to get much less (300 minutes less and instead of unlimited data I can only get 500MB). I'm really getting fed up with being ripped off by O2, been with them for 7-8 years but maybe it's time to change come summer.

+1 - My wife has been with O2 for 4 years, had 2 iPhones on £45/month contracts. I also have teh same contract and we take their broadband, so almost £100 of our income goes to them. I ring up for an upgrade to the iPhone 4 and I can get a free phone on a 24 month contract on the same monthly price but with less minutes. I've now got a PAC and going to Vodafone, broadband to Sky.

I guess it's with any existing customers on any network, they're not as profitable as new customers.
