Found 20th Feb 2015
Was at cash generator in castleford earlier today and they had a range of second hand iphone 5's heavily reduced. I bought the 16gb one for £80 in grade B condition.
They ranged from 60-140 depending on condition and memory.
Could be clearing stock so May or may not be national

it seems to say something about the nature of the apple market.
and cash generators high street battle.

That's a bargain!! I'll check out the swansea store this weekend!

Can't get an ipod touch for that money heat!

hot if it's national

cold, store specific.

I could be wrong but I thought it was a franchise operation, could be a local store closing, when ours went they had things for low prices.
Irony being if they had been reasonable to start with price wise instead of wanting almost new price they may still have been there...

Will check my local one out tomorrow

Cheers

That is the reason, I had 2 of them second hand electrical shop closing on my high street and had similar prices, no point calling it a deal.

Yes it would seem so, as their website does not show these prices, only a lot dearer ones

Going to check my local one out but don't have much hope.

Is this less than eBay? Could buy and resell if so??

Seems a one off as their website lists £80 for an iPhone 4 and in poor condition too.

Walked into their new store in imagination land.

Cash generators are franchises. They charge what they want and adhere to no central pricing system. There's no point in allowing these deals, as it will only cause hopefuls to waste their time.

That is the cost of a refurbished handset from apple if you have damaged your iphone. If you do any accidental damage to an iphone, take it to an apple shop, and they will replace it for a refurbished handset at cost price, which is £140 for the iphone 5s

I read his comment as maybe he's selling one for that price?

Nice offer but Cash Converters only have stores in absolute ****holes.which I'd never venture even near. E.g. nearest to me are Willlesden, Peckham, Catford, Feltham, Watford, Luton etc

While I don't support Llamamans comments at all, don't immediately assume that everyone on here is from less affluent areas as so eloquently described by Llamaman.
Are more affluent people not allowed to save money?
I'd reckon the majority of the site users are from the "squeezed middle".

Just checked even in Castleford the cheapest is £179.99. Heads up for people. So i guess this should be voted expired.

Seems like a lot of money for an iPhone 5.

Nah, he said "Got a brand new sealed iPhone 5s unlocked from Apple for 140" which unless his English is different to everyone elses means he got one not sold one. But as it's bullplop it's all rather academic anyway

The going rate is around £150-£180 for 16gb on eBay.

Maybe it was a minter and more memory or a mug bought it?!
