$99 PLUS a contract. You can buy it here for that much PLUS a contract as well if you want, but you can also get it free on contract.

Can get 5c 16gb with 600min, unlimited texts and 500mb data for £32.50 a month and that's not a limited offer! Iphone 5 16gb is only £2 more! And you can get the 5c with 1200 min, unlimited texts and 1gb data for £35 so ... it's not THAT big a saving to what you can get anyway

That's the handset for £20, then you pick the bundle you want on top of that. 24 month contract though.

Contracts in the USA tend to be quite expensive too, I paid $70 p/m for unlimted calls, texts and 5gb of 4G data.

Hold on for a bit they will be that price soon, massive failure this phone, so a lot of potential in the coming months for big price cuts.

Of course they are, they will however have little choice with this phone it seems.

Also needs to be the GSM version not the CDMA version if anyone's mad enough to do this...... (and I'm most likely wrong and I cant find it now but doesn't the US version support different LTE frequency bands to the Euro model? So the 4G wont work if imported here? If anyone knows I would be interested to know)

I personally always buy iphones just because i hate android i find ios a much superior os ,easier to use and more secure thats about it in a perfect world id like a note 3 with ios on or apple to release a phablet

it was advertised on usa broadcast stream just said it was $99 at several retailers walmart was one,and didnt mention any other contract needed and was also being advertised as a budget alternative to the 5s

They always advertise them this way, they still need a contract. Look at Apple's American website for example, says 'from $99' for the 5c, and 'from $199' for the 5s. But you see, there's an asterisk, and if you look closely or click through, its $99 with a service plan, or contract as we'd say. The 5c is $549 without a contract in America, not $99.

And the 'budget' term is because its still $100 cheaper than the 5s for an upfront cost. American contracts tend to be pretty much one price regardless of phones, so you won't usually get a free phone. Maybe a $0.01 phone, but that's rare and usually only for the ones not selling so well like Nokia and HTC (not insulting them, just stating facts that they're not selling so well in America and have been on the $0.01 sales before). Doesn't mean you're only paying $0.01 for them though, so don't think about posting a deal from Amazon.com for the Nokia Lumia 920 at $0.01...

'People' don't get iPhones. It's not a collective thing. For most it's personal choice. My iPhone does exactly what I expect it to and reliably. I'm happy with the product. The sooner apple-haters understand this, the better.

i used to have an iphone. I just think in respect of the cost of them, they are way over priced for what you get. apple in 5 years time will amazingly bring out what most android phones have today.
