Another deal on O2 refresh.
As usual you have to cancel the airtime plan and pay the phone fully.
Best regards,
Pedro

500Mb £79.99 (upfront) + £7 x24 (device plan, paid in full on receipt) + £0 (airtime plan, cancelled on receipt) = £247.99 total payable

Any chance of posting idiot proof detail on how to get this deal

Buy it online. On the day you receive the phone, call o2 and request unlock (you can do this online via myo2 if you prefer), hang up and call again to cancel airtime and pay off device fees (have your debit/credit card handy). You'll get a final bill a couple of weeks later, it should state £0 but could have a day or two of charges depending how quickly you called them. Pay it off (£1 or £2)and enjoy

I should add they once tried to charge me 1 month contract stating there's 30 day notice but the helpful o2 person found a way around it by transferring my contract to payg which meant only a few days of contract to pay which is the time it took to port over so still talking <£5 fee

Is it possible to cancel the airtime and pay off the device through the chat, or do you have to ring up?

Had a few of these deals over the years but the last 2 have been a real pain to cancel, be prepared to pay 30 days airtime if you cancel as they have demanded the phone be returned if cancelled in the 14 cooling off period.
All depends on which CS advisor you get when you cancel
Just my opinion but still well worth buying the phone like this even at the expense of 30 days airtime

How do you get if for 260?

If you choose 500mb data tarriff, £19.99 upfront and £25 monthly. In you basket, you will able to see the split:
£19.99 upfront + £10 × 24 months = £260 for iPhone.

While airtime costs you £15 a month which you can cancel after requesting the unlock code with in 14-days period.

Remember, for O2 Refresh devices, you take out seperate loan from O2 which might effect your credit rating unless you pay for device in full upfront.

It's actually only £247.99 if you take the 500Mb tariff with £79 deposit

From what I've read I wouldn't out my credit rating through it

Cant believe people are still buying iPhones, they are like a child's toy compared to what android phones are like these days. The ios software doesn't give much more than the iPhone 4.

Thank you for your worthless opinion nobody asked for

Your welcome :-)

Definitely old technology. However, if you were thinking of buying an ipod, this is a good way to buy the same, with a few more extras, at a good price. Voted hot for that reason.

Sorry voted cold. If it were the 6s it would be another case

Looked at the page but wasn't able to find a valid until date for this price.

Very tempted to buy this as a birthday present for my dad but his birthday isn't until mid October.

Don't want to lose a month or so of warranty but also don't want to miss out on the price.

The other option is for me to get him an Xperia x at 240 using my work perks thing.

Am I reading this correct in that it is now £240 as I cannot see an upfront fee? Can I also ask why it would affect your credit rating?
