This is only my 2nd post so please be kind. I've been keeping an eye on IPhone 6 contracts for my son for Christmas and thought this seems a pretty good price with Vodafone. 4gb data, unlimited data and minutes £23pm for 2 years. Cash back redemption of£96 then would make it £19pm or £456 total cost. No upfront cost either.

Personally I'm not convinced. Three year old phone. I think you'd be better off buying a refurb 6s or even 7 and then finding a low price simo deal. Plus I would look for a phone with at least 64gb these days.

The 6 is 3 years old now, and I think iOS 11 is starting to make this phone show its age... it will probably have one more year left in it. I don't see £550 and two year commitment as a good deal...

iPhone 6 32Gb itself is £299

Or cheaper

Ok so perhaps an iPhone 6 not such a good iea 🙈 He's only 10 so don't want to pay silly money then he might lose it and a sim only deal seems to be at least £10pm to get more than 1gb of data

The 6 and the SE were £17 pm at CPW without all that cashback nonsense a month or so back.

SE is a much better buy than a 6.

The SE has the same internals as the 6s including the important extra 1Gb of ram...the 6 struggles on 1Gb ram.

Find a good Refurb 6s or get an SE in this price range...but don't get your son a 6....

£15.99 PM for a 32Gb SE with 300mins, 5000txt and 1Gb data at ID Mobile

Where are you seeing this kind of price?

I'm inclined to agree with many here in that the SE is the better proposition.
