Cheap? I don't think that is a word I would associate with Apple

I have an iPhone 6 through work..I like it but would never spend this kind of money on one.

but cheap-er is a relative term is it not?

Genius.

Cheap no deal yes this is what this site is about not whether something is cheap but whether it's cheaper than normal this is or at least I think it is which makes it a deal. Anyone that votes this cold because they think it's too expensive rather than knowing it's cheaper than usual is daft.

Well done on finding a reduced price

Heat added cheapest I have seen it

Wonder how much the contracts will be by the end of September consider the plus has just been announced, the 5s is also cheaper after the press release.

Anyone who makes that kind of comment is daft ! They lowered prices simply because new models has been announced today... this is not cheap for old model, this will be new standard price !

Wow it's freezing in here

cold this is rrp

Old tech...

Paid 619 when i came out LAST year I wouldnt pay more than 350 for 1 year old tech. I will however sell my 1 year old one for money towards new iphone ☺️

Lol, the new one (iPhone 6S) was announced Today!

If you can afford this then it's likely you can afford the extra £80 to get the brand new 6S.

A Moto G & Moto play for a lot less than a year old shiny phone?
It's amazing how Apple con people year after year with slick presentations of how to polish a turd.
A fool & his money are easily patted.

if you're not bothered about Force Touch and the camera though, this looks the same and probably performs just as well in all discernable ways, so £80 more isn't necessarily worthwhile. Anyone who was after a new 6 a few weeks ago but found it £80 too expensive will be happy with this

amazing how angry and snarky people get about iPhones and iPhone buyers. Just worry about your own phone and leave others be. People don't *have* to buy them, but they obviously *want* to buy them. It's their money and their business, so who are we to tell them the hardware is rubbish and overpriced? People pay thousands of pounds for handbags and jumpers. It's just the way of the world: if people are willing to pay a certain price then the manufacturer will charge it. If people are happy paying £459 for an iPhone 6 and the service and support that comes with it, then would Apple not be stupid to drop the price to £300? This is business after all.

I wonder how many of the people slagging off Apple prices are happy to shell out over £70 a month for Sky, or thousands of pounds a year for a season ticket.

This site is ridiculous when it comes to phones. So many deals get voted cold because people have some strange brand loyalty or want something for nothing. It isn't about alternative brands or makes - this is an iphone - no android phone can use IOS. If this is currently the best price for this phone then surely that makes it a hot deal. The sad thing is that people who want a good deal on something like this probably won't look at it due to the cold votes. As hotukdeals has become larger it has sadly ended up being worse.

About the only thing the same is how it looks, everything else is different, it's a significant upgrade over the 6. If I was to get a 6 now I'd be looking to pay a lot less than the new RRP.

I haven't done enough research into this yet but am tempted by the 6S - in which ways would you say it's a significant upgrade @loop?

New stronger glass screen, new aluminium alloy, much faster CPU, new 12MP camera, 4K video, front facing flash (of sorts, screen gets 3 times brighter), Live photos, 3D Touch (like right click on a phone), improved fingerprint sensor, and more. You can watch the Keynote presentation on the Apple website that runs through it all, iPhones come up towards the end.

the only thing I'd care about from that list is the camera. I feel 3D is something that won't reach its potential for a long time yet, and I've already resolved to buy an iPhone 7 because - call me shallow if you will - I like the idea of a design change. I'm currently using an iPhone 6 and nothing about its performance makes me want for more. I don't care about the glass as I always use a screen protector, don't care about the aluminium as mine hasn't bent, and Touch ID works great for me.

I will probably order a 6S Plus to compare directly but I think the as it stands the 6 and 6S are existing models and haven't been shelved, and they still perform as well, if not better, than current Android flagships.

3D Touch even
