Guys correct me if Im wrong but this is like a no brainer to me for anyone considering buying an iphone 6 ! I am posting this for those looking at an iphone 6 deal this is a very good deal and especially and most importantly the reason I am posting its a 12 MONTH CONTRACT I havent seen any netwroks offering a 12 month contract other than rolling sim only certainly not on iphone 6's !!

12 Month Contract £58.50 Per month
£153.99 upfront
7Gb Data
64Gb Iphone 6 (Not the PLUS)

compare to new handset price of £619 :
£153.99 (upfront) + £702 (total line rental over 12 months) = £855.99 (Total cost) - £619 (iphone 6 cost at Apple handset only) =£236.99 / 12 = £19.75 per month

£30 Quidco and maybe TCB

Basically remove the cost of the iphone 6 and it is roughly £20 per month with 7Gb Data unlimited texts and minutes and bear in mind you get other vodafone services !!!!

This makes it £855.39 for 12 months not £153.99

Can someone explain what cold votes mean and at least say why your voting it as cold please?

It's actually a decent deal if you want an iphone 6 anyway and will use that much data.

People are voting cold because:
a) they don't understand the maths
b) they don't feel people will use the 7gb data, making it a poor deal.
c) they see both, but think it's just a run of the mill offer.

If you're going to max out the data, it's very decent. I wouldn't say superhot or anything, but acceptable for sure.

Perhaps I should add the fact you can then share with other devices and familymembers so then buy a second handset for those who can and you have a very cheap method of reducing mobile costs without being tied in over 24 months !

oowl - Thanks for clarity of why people vote it as cold though. I appreciate not everyone can afford to do this method but I normally buy handset only and then go sim only and this seems really attractive and allows you to spread the cost for little change in risk and monthly cost ( I hope that ramble makes sense !)

It's not £153.99 you have to include contract cost. Which is expensive

I'm voting cold, but only because the deal says the cost is £153.99 in the title but actual cost is £855, quite a difference.

Only grey colour??

It seems you can also have Spotify Premium included for the 12 months which would save you £119.88 if you already subscribe.

It's still cheaper to buy the phone and get a sim only deal with most networks. As for the same sort of package sim only will be less that £18 a month. Which even with buying the phone is a max of £835. So not a great deal. Plus you get a two year warranty from Apple if you buy the phone outright.

price is £855.99 total.

so you are voting cold because of how the op posted, had they shown the full price in the title you would have voted hot?

the reason its cold is because its apple, seems hot to me - but is so expensive for any phone IMO.

I've vote heat

Be careful if ordering as MobilePhonesDirect are struggling to get hold of 64Gb iPhone 6. I ordered mine on the 7th Nov and am still waiting... TBC as a due date!

Buy sim free and get a sim only contract. Far cheaper. Still expensive though. Apple have priced a lot of people out of the market IMO.

sim only deal on ucompare £25 pm = £300 Unlimited text data and minutes (12 month)
phone cost on apple £619 = 619 plus choice of colour
total 919
this is only £63.01 cheaper but capped at 7gb of data so its not really a deal (after 3 months)

this would also be cheaper if your didn't want unlimited minutes and texts and data, so you could end up with a cheaper deal than has been posted depending on the sim plan chosen

oh plus its made by Apple

Yes I voted cold because of how it's posted. I've nothing against apple stuff and it seems a fair price BUT the site guidelines do ask that the cost of the deal be reflected in the title. The cost shown in the title as it is written is NOT for the phone but for the data, calls and text, with the "cost" of the phone being taken off the total somewhere in the sums. Perhaps if I found the same phone elsewhere for £800 I could post this deal and say that the deal is "only" £55, or if I found the phone on ebay for £500 I could say this deal is actually costing £355 ? Clearly neither of these is true, but they are as valid as the OP's posting. If the deal costs £855 then that's what it should be posted as.

thanks for the clarification RxTx

However... I get 20% nhs discount so £719 for me which isn't bad!
However it's Vodafone & trying to leave them at the end is a nightmare!

I get 20gb of data (and use it) every month for £42.99 with EE so this is cold for me. You get more for your money elsewhere. X

The new title is much better, I'd vote hot for it now. Hopefully you'll get a better response from voters now. Good luck.

But EE do have more complaints from customers than any other network and vodafone in the areas where I travel are much more reliable than EE. So it's down to personal circumstances and if someone is after a vodafone contract and an iphone then this seems like a good deal to me.

20% Nhs discount does not apply to plans purchased through resellers.
Phone cost £279.00 on same plan direct with Vodafone.

Can get Note 4 for that kind of money!!!

Apple phones are way overpriced. There are better phones out there for half the price.

Personally I would rather have a good holiday than spend an obscene amount of money on a PHONE. Good luck to those who view the world differently.

Or those that can do both.

Better than buying outright and using a £20 freedom freebie, buy quite some distance. Basically interest free. The 12 month contract is great. My mate paid £99 up front and pays £55 a month for 2 years for basically the same as this.

Just because your mate is a bit daft does not make this a good deal.

Standard deals at release times and still there I believe. Why do you think I didn't go for that, bit daft is right.

This is still a great deal, bit daft to think otherwise.
