Unless I'm missing something, £100 up front with 24 months at £40.99 is £1083.74, not £920.

maths??
£40.99 * 24 = £983.76

+ £100 = £1083.76

Unless I'm mistaken, your figures are way out. The total cost is £1,083.75. How did you get £920?

probably used the calculator on his iphone 5s its designed to always give a lower figures when doing anything related to apple product pricing

Haha maths and intelligence at the same level as a iPhone user. Just to update you, there are 12 months in a year not 10.
It seems you forgot that when you worked out 10months x 2years x £41 +£100 hahaha

Doh just multiplied by 20 - sorry!

terrible.

Nearly £1100 for a Mobile phone, Locked down with fixed memory?. Dont get me wrong I have owned an iphone 5 and it was a nice bit of kit, but no way that a phone is worth this type of money.

Lets be clear though, this is for the phone plus 2 years worth of contract (minutes/texts/data etc). Not saying its steal of the century, but its not exactly £1100 for the phone!!!

And two years worth of calls/texts/data as well, don't forget.

Works out at £45/month. People pay more than that for just Sky TV!

Thanks for the info, Mr. Shed. I came on here just looking to see what tariffs were available. Don't get too disheartened by all the "Aple suxxxx!" comments.

why not pay the 619 for the plus from apple and then drop a £10 sim card into it.

Original Poster

Does that give you unlimited calls, texts, and 2-20Gb data (depending upon package) per month?

The cheapest deal I could find that would come close was Tesco Mobiles deal at around £25-30 per month SIM only. That would make the phone total cost £480.

Obviously if that kind of package was overkill for you then the costs stack up differently.

Would you get a 4g sim for £10 per month?

Just checked, you can get a Three SIM for £15 per month, 4G with 200 mins and unlimited text/data

£100 less over the 2 years but no huge cost at the beginning

is £619 not for the 32gb model?

Any clues on what existing t-mobile/ee who will be up for renewal soon customers can get?

There is no 32gb model any more - £539 for 16gb or £619 for 64gb.

Tesco also does some good 1-month or 12-month SIM-only deals. My experience with them was good (decent 4G coverage, since they use O2), but no two HUKDers will ever agree on coverage!
