Worked out just a bit over £700 with £30 quidco bringing it down to £670 ish.. Its expired tho..but it was a good deal just not a good company to deal with. Deal been posted here

except 4g
No upfront fee with Tesco, I've been with them for 4 years now and I've never had a problem also brilliant coverage.
Very bad network can not wait to get rid of my contract .. Customer service is run by 10 year olds i think just a joke

Considering i sat down and worked it out up front and knew what I was getting myself in to, I'd say not ..

no, but then i've grown to accept that virgin will likely never get it. still, being on their unlimited everything package at least potentially gives me a teeny, tiny window that could hopefully see it converted over to a reasonble 4G package if they ever did. but it's unlikely though.

this phone out right and 18quid a month 3 all unlimited costs 300 less...
You definitely considered your choices.
Even if you have issues with network 300 extra isn't worth it

You buy the phone outright and get a Sim only contract. Even using this £18 3 unlimited contract example you'd over £200 by buying the phone outright at £600.

also consider do you REALLY need unlimited everything? I've been down that road myself...checked my usage over a 6mth period and I never once used more than 2gb Data.
I'm now using a £10pm 2Gb data sim only with a Galaxy Note4 purchased outright for £500. total cost over 2yrs £740.

I did suspect I would have to magic £600 quid out of thin air .. and i know that sounds facetious, but it's certainly not meant to be. That kind of money up front is completely impossible.

I can, however, afford the monthly outlay for the next two years. That, and the fact i've been a Virgin customer for many years and have two other lines with them as well for family members all went to me making the decision to go ahead because it meant the likelihood of passing the credit check would be a lot greater.

I'm quite happy with the situation. The unlimited everything package can be changed, due to the nature of virgin's "freestyle" contracts, so that's not a huge deal either - i can see how my data usage is for a few months and can easily step it back down.

For me personally that would have been a pretty poor deal considering the need to shell out £460 upfront along with the lack of data (500mb would get used up very quickly).

A useless network, with an even more useless amount of data.
