If you have an old phone to recycle, use this link to order this deal which gives you an extra £50 when recycling your old handset.

I've already had my phone dispatched and received my £50 code, will give me £150 for my old iPhone 5 which is better than eBay and seems less faff!

The Three SIM unlock trick does NOT work. Do NOT insert a Three SIM in first expecting it to unlock the phone.

Thanks to wildturkey for this extra data info..............

Just got info from O2 online chat to confirm that you can upgrade the data to change your monthly tarrif to
5gb - £34
10gb -£39
20gb -£49
Once upgraded, you can downgrade back down to your base tariff of 3gb whenever you like if you change your mind.
Great deal

****EDIT*****

Update: This deal has been extended and will run up until the end of the Black Friday weekend. However, we understand there's a chance it may be pulled depending on stock (Gold is temporarily out of stock), due to the sheer popularity of it.

Is the deal on the gold iPhone only?
Like the look at this for the wife, but when I change the colour to rose it loses the cheaper tariff. Am I missing something?

Beware though, it's only available 'for a limited time' so once it's gone, it's gone.
Perhaps each colour only has a certain amount mate not sure.
Anyone got a deal with more data?

You should be ok then best to confirm with o2 first
This is a fab deal, does anyone know if I order this now would I be able to cancel my current O2 contract which is up next month and move the number to this one. The upgrade deals are nowhere near as good

So tempted but don't know if 3gb is enough. Do o2 charge if you go over data or restrict it? Been burned by voda a few times
argosextra

How can I unlock it any advise

You can't for six months at least
My data usually just stops working if I run out of data on O2, never been charged more unles I add on extra data package

You don't get charged. They just slow your connection.

No £10 for a new O2
a little off topic but il add heat :).

My brother has this phone. And atm he can't see any pictures on Facebook they all go blurry so a bug in the phone or app somewhere. phone shop can't figure it out. anyone know what prob is?
If I buy this and put my EE sim in then it will get locked to EE which is fine but after 6 months when I want to unlock the phone who do I contact will 02 unlock the phone for me or shall I deal with mobile phone.co.uk
Thanks, great deal, just ordered!

In case this helps anybody else, I ordered via this link: mazumamobile.com/mob…php

Gives me £50 extra when I recycle my old phone, so that's £150 back for my old iPhone 5. Not too bad I thought.

Still go through just incase
This is a saving of just £5 a month...is that good enough to get excited about...its an honest question as my bill is normally way lower so just wondering.

If you are starting a new contract on the same network they can't transfer your number over. If you want to keep your number you will have to get a spare sim on another network, Port your number to that new network, once it's gone through, you then have to port your number back to o2. It's a bit of a time and hassle but it can be done.
However when I did this for my mum who was/is on o2 they royally fluffed it up and it took nearly 2 weeks and a dozen calls to o2 to sort it out.

Put a Three SIM in it as soon as you get it and it'll be unlocked straight away. Then take it out and stick your O2/EE SIM in it.
FACT!
EDIT: DO NOT DO THIS, IT APPEARS THIS TRICK NO LONGER WORKS.
