I know it's iPhone and the price is quite disappointed due to the fact that Pounds have been weak. But Apple just rolled out iPhone Upgrade Program in the UK which basically is a 0% 20 months finance with £49 upfront, which honestly isn't too bad. And you can add Apple Care+ as well.

AppleCare+ is already included with the Upgrade Programme.

Read the page, it says you can also choose the cheaper plan which doesn't include Apple Care+. So the one shown on the page includes Apple Care+ and is more expensive.
But anyway, you still pay what it should cost. It only gives you 0% finance without any further discount.

I don't really get this, does it mean that you have to hand back your iPhone 7 once the iPhone 7s comes out in order to upgrade?

Do you get to keep the original phone when you upgrade?

It's just a credit agreement.

it's 0% APR over 20 months. This will likely be the best way to buy an iPhone.

What happens if I don’t want to upgrade my iPhone after 11 monthly payments?
You’re under no obligation to upgrade, and after 20 payments, the phone is yours.

Oh it's in apple.com/uk/…uk/

I think I'm being stupid but how did you get £599?

We are use to Hire purchase in cars now even iphone!

In order to qualify does your original iPhone need to be purchased from iPhone or does any network provider also qualify ?

Doh! Sorry, I was looking at the £718 purchase over 20 monthly payments at 0% p.a. (fixed) would cost £33.45 per month. £49 upfront payment required. Total cost of credit £0. Total amount of credit £669. pricing!

So from the above links, am I right that if you would like to sign up iPhone Upgrade Plan, you would have to add AppleCare+ or otherwise, it's purely iPhone Payments Plan, which will not allow you to upgrade to a new iPhone after the 11 monthly payment? Other than that they look quite the same to me.

Don't see how this is a deal to be honest, cheaper to buy the phone outright.

Tis a good deal if you must have the latest tech.
£33.45 a month for for the iPhone 7 32gb
Pop in say an ID sim with 2gb for £7.50 a month
So that's £41 a month with £49 upfront.
All phone providers will be charging around £45 a month and expect a hefty chunk up front for this for the immediate future.
EE right now want £46 a month for the 6s with 2gb.

So they want you to, depending on which iPhone you choose, pay around £400+ to have it for 11 months? Then that every year?

Maybe not everyone is capable of pulling £600 quid out of thin air ?

Anyway, this is actually cheaper than what i'm currently paying Virgin for my 6s. Just a pain i'm locked in for another 12 months.

It's a business, not charity.
Apple is morally bankrupted with regard to their tax dodging practices.

Lol that's not how it works.

It straight up says that the cheapest you can do (non jet black 16GB) is £33.45 a month, which including the £49 upfront cost is £718 as it states in the example description.

Stupid logic.. because I don't have £600 in my wallet doesn't mean I can't afford it over a couple of years on something I use more than my car and is just as important for my work/social life.. Some people like to hoard money others like to spend it. Some would rather save for 2 years to then buy it outright and most prefer to do it this way. Do us all a favour and get off your high horse.

Hopefully there will be some decent 6S deals. I see the iphone 7 plus 256gb is £919. That'll be one hell of a monthly contract price!

2 years to save for a Phone oO... i don't care if its an Apple device or an Android but if it takes 2 years to save for such an expensive phone then maybe they need to change their priorities in life ... But hey what do I know (Not a lot lol)

Oh shucks, my apologies. Thanks for pointing that out, makes it even more tempting to go for the 128gb iPhone 7+!

An 800 quid phone has a 750 x 1334 pixels screen? Amazing.

I used the 2 years as an example since that's the amount of time 90% of people of pay for a phone monthly pay it over that long

This is a joke, if you go for the cheaper plan you can't upgrade after a year and you never own the phone unless you pay 20months and on the expensive plan you will likely pay this off early to get the newer phone upgrade and then pay another 20months to own that one. I mean if you give the phone back you are even more ripped off. An endless loop of being ripped off.
