I know there is loads of Apple haters and I know they are not the most …I know there is loads of Apple haters and I know they are not the most advanced mobiles and not as fancy as samsung but you all have to understand that is not the reason why we buy apple products. The reason is that we do not have to send it to reapair every 3 months, our battery after 2 years of use is still pretty good.

I haven't owned an iPhone since the 3GS. Since then I've owned 4 Android phones and not one of them has had to be repaired "every 3 months". In fact all but one of them have never had to be repaired at all.

actually just looked and realised its not the +, for the standard Iphone I dont think its that much of a great deal. could buy the phone sim free and a sim only contract with more data for around the same or a small amount extra dependant on which network you prefer

I will admit I just had to have my S7edge repaired after it was a year old, 1st time Ive had one fail since I have had the Note 2, however it was fixed the same day I took it in despite it needing a new main board so cant really grumble at the service.

They are 2 different products, no need to really get into which ones best, its about whats a good deal and what isnt

You're not comparing apples with apples here (pun intended) - the same data allowance works out at £47pm = £1128

I'm not going to take sides on the apple vs android debate as I've had loads of each, but to add to the original poster's comment about having to have android phones repaired....
The only quality issues I've had have been on android phones.
I've had at least 3 with overheating issues where they'd turn themselves off (galaxy s3, Sony Z3, Nexus 5).
With a replacement Sony Z3 I had, you could see a visible gap of daylight between the casing and one of the waterproof port covers (meaning that it wasn't waterproof).
And countless android phones I've had have slowed down over time.... Something that I can't say about iPhones I've had (unless you keep them for several years, and the iOS updates go beyond the capabilities of the device).
Just my experience anyway.

Oh be quiet. Nothing worse then fan boys. I have both iphone and samsung both are great and both have their advantages. Samsung for business and iphone for family friends

I've looked at all the contract deals for the iPhone 8 and this one is the best as we speak!! Lol

£70 cashback through TCB too!!!

If you can - wait a couple of months. Much better deals after the initial fuss settles down.

I've had a Samsung s5 for 3 years and it hasn't been in for repair once. My daughter had an iPhone 6 and it was in for repair twice in 18 months, not including screen repairs.

Did you mean 500Mb of data? 500 Gb would be plenty!:/

Yes lol

I owned all the s model from 3GS to 6s. I have to say that the iPhones are easy to use compared to android. Android phones seem to do stuff you don’t want often. I however have to say that the iPhone 8 is a waste of money compared to it been the same as a 7 with only few tweaks that don’t explain the huge price difference. And why are UK customers ripped off when you exchange currency it’s £££ more expensive than USA. I still have the 6s but I won’t be buying the 8 or X. Will probably end up buying an android that does all the same but cheaper.

Typing this from a 2 year old Vodafone smart 6. No issues!

Just added my pennys worth of freeze. How can you not where overpriced Apple junk is concerned.

Unlimited minutes and texts too. This looks pretty good to me. I understand all the hate for iPhone, but if you want one (I do) then this looks pretty good. Is there a better deal around

Funny, my experience is exactly as described by the OP...
Having previously had 2 iphones i broke the trend and gave android a try.
Suprise suprise the S7 Edge developed a screen fault within a month. Long story short samsung repair dont know their A** from their elbow and i have vowed never to return to that shambles of a company.

You were very lucky, my experience was very, very different

£70 TopCashback brings the upfront down to £80, and if you've got an existing device to sell (iPhone 6 etc) then this would more than cover it - If I'm paying £39 a month for a phone, which is still an awful lot of money I think any kind of upfront cost is more than cheeky!

I wonder if this will tumble down to a more sensible price when the X is released in November (I'd expect even just a little price drop once it is an 'in stock' rather than 'pre order' device.

£1086 - £70 TCB = £1016. Cost of the phone upfront is £699. £1016 - £699 = £317. 24 month contract £317 / 24 = £13.20 for 10gb o2 Sim

Hot from me , best deal ive seen for this.
