Not sure if I've posted this in the right place, but it follows on from the posting re taking the £45 pachage then cancelling after 9 months.

O2 now have some limited stocks, I picked mine up at lunchtime from thier Preston store

Why is this a deal?

Why is this a deal?

Possibly because supply didn't meet demand last friday, dunno though, just guessing:?

It isn't as such, but as said it links to the earlier thread, I know some of our fellow posters were struggling to find stock.

This should be Misc rather than a deal.

Plus its been well known that new stock would be coming in every week.

Whats this about taking the £45 package & then cancelling after 9 months?

exactly as you stated ... u can reduce to £35 per month after 9 months into 18 month contract

What if o2 change their T&C's whilst you are in the iPhone contract?

Can you cancel due to those changes like you can with other mobile contracts?

Can you buy without taking out any contract like before?

They make you take the contract out instore

this iphone has been marketed really really really well

totally milked like crazy and what free PR on news channels

can you still buy the iphone without a contract from the o2 shop

Not at the moment, no. With the previous iPhone you could walk into any O2, Carphone Warehouse or Apple Store pay for the phone and then set your contract up through iTunes (or unlock it and sell it on eBay as many did). With the 3G model you have to set you contract up instore before you can leave with the phone. The phone also has to be activated instore. If you order online, you can set your contract up online and they will send you the phone to activate at home via iTunes.

Pay as you go is coming soon though for the iPhone 3G. Some reckon around September/October in time for Christmas.
