Apple are still selling the 5SE on their website so I don't think they're planning to stop supporting it anytime soon. The 5S however must be near the end, which means I need to finally cough up some money for a new phone.
16gb just not enough storage especially as iPhone don't take sd cards to increase storage capacity
Voted hot good deal but this is for iPhone SE there is no such thing as 5se so it a better deal than you are showing it actually came out after the iPhone 6

Ha I feel your pain, only traded mine up for the SE last month. Didn’t realise just how slow my 4s was running but the SE’s super quick compared. Throw in apple pay and fingerprint technology and the SE’s a great upgrade from the 4s an a top mobile in general imo

What iOS were you running on the 4s? I’m still on ios7 and phone still seems pretty quick. I’m dreading the day it dies haha there will be a national day of mourning

Not really surprising eh? Considering it's five years newer than a 4s.
As it comes in 16Gb, this mustn't be the latest model based on the 6S internals (the smallest of which is 32Gb)

Just had a look and the 4s stopped for me at 9.3.5, the SE’s on 11.1.2. Was a good phone the 4s and I’d probably have stuck with it bit longer if hadn’t smashed the screen, glad I did now though cos love the SE

Wife has an SE, might have it as a handmedown when she gets a new one
neat. how do you find such deals on O2? I've been looking for a similar deal on the 6S but they all seem to be on contract.
These were £104 from O2 Refresh back in July so not that good of a deal.

You have to type in the search box ‘nearly new’
So for £179 I can buy then unlock ?
£200 extra for the next memory size up takes the piss
Looks like can't be unlocked for 12 months

Yes, and I stand by that because this indicates that it was much cheaper in the past, considering it’s a refurb as well and the device is 6 months older now

Not according to there site you can't...

Pay As You Go customers
If you're on Pay As You Go, your O2 phone can be unlocked 12 months after you bought it. It’ll cost you £15, which we'll deduct from your airtime balance. This policy might vary depending on which phone you’ve bought.

Just pay the £15 and have it unlocked properly worth it in the end as you can have problems going forward.

We got the SE on the refresh deal in July came not even registered and full apple warranty, paid a lot less than this though prices certainly have gone up :
Got one a few months back was unlocked and looked new but came in a plain box, around 10gb left after installing a couple of apps....
The SE is a great little phone. It’s basically an iPhone 6 in the housing of a 5 (for us folks that dislike large phones).

I got mine when I was fairly new out and still have a few months left on my 2 year contract. If I remember correctly it was launched end of March 2016 so I don’t see apple withdrawing support/ updates for this phone for at least another year and a half.
If the item is bought on O2 refresh it can be lunlocked the day it is bought, however if bought on PAYG you have to wait 12 months and you dont get charged to unlock the device on O2 refresh, once unlocked call and pay the phone off and cancel the airtime.
what is 5SE? no such thing as 5SE.
it's either iPhone 5s or iPhone SE which is not relevant to iPhone 5 at all.
16GB should be illegal now, I got brand new 32GB from giffgaff on black Fridays for £219.
How do you buy a o2 refresh phone? Do you need to have a o2 sim?
These will probably be terribly slow on the new iOS. I would recommend anyone thinking of this to pay a bit extra and go for the iPhone SE instead.
