Beware if CPW Iphones still lock to the first sim inserted.

yes CPW phones do lock on first SIM. don't argos phones as well ?

usually after using for a year it's easy and free to unlock fully.

this is a good price but as an iphone the haters will vote against.

great phone, 16gb probably ok for most but Giffgaff normal price is £329.

you need to buy a goody bag but the phone is DEFINITELY unlocked and SIM free

CPW iPhones lock to the first SIM.

Hot phone. CPW calling this sim free is pushing the trades description act as it locks immediately to first SIm inserted. So cold deal from me.

Argos ones don't lock to the first SIM these days.

why would you want to keep swooping sims anyway. at least if it's locked it's a security measure and if phone pinched no.one can simply put another SIM in it.

True that most CPW iphones lock to the network of the first SIM that is use with it, but my daughter's 6S from CPW did not lock in this way and can be used with EE, O2 or Voda and indeed any overseas SIM that is put in whilst travelling.

The security in an iPhone is taken care of by the activation lock with the iTunes account login.

But I'm going to vote cold anyway because my butt hurts. (joke).

I think you're getting the wrong end of the stick.

When it "locks" to the first sim it doesn't mean that sim can be used only. It means it locks to the network of the first sim inserted. If that was say Vodafone it would not stop someone else using the phone with another Vodafone sim. Hardly a security measure, more a nuisance if you are a frequent trraveller who swaps to international sims.

You may have been lucky. We have a CPW supplied 6S that is locked to the first sim inserted. It has been tested with other network sims without any luck.

Argos iPhone se I bought definitely hasn't locked sim, good deal but would rather buy from the likes of Argos/john Lewis! Hate CPW awful customer service

Does anyone know if you insert a ID network sim would you be able to change to 3 as it piggybacks their network???

Never thought of giffgaff, nice one... from checking their website you can move networks just by inserting a new sim in the phone and connecting to mytunes on your PC and voila, changed !!
