If you think the number of cores a processor has, or it’s clock speed, serves as any real world benchmark I wholeheartedly suggest you stop looking at spec sheets. What’s next? An 18 megapixel camera must be better than 9 megapixel one? (Hint: the numbers in both cases mean very little without context)

edit:

Just in case anyone actually does care, the Geekbench scores for the A9 blow some Octacore 2.5 GHz android chip (first result in the HUKD search) out of the water with its paltry dual core processor. Never mind the addition of the ultra-optimised iOS on top of that. Dislike iPhones, but their performance is nothing to scoff at.

NINETY FOUR POUNDS.
Bargain deal coming from a non apple fan. I had to buy it at that price and I would rather have refurbished than just used from places like cex. Only thing is how do I unlock this and how much does it cost?

NINETY FOUR POUNDS.

Add £50 you can get double GB
Hows the condition of these 'good' phones?
50GB iCloud storage is only 79p a month. If you can get 3 years out of a phone these days (I can't!) that's a fair bit cheaper than paying extra for the 32GB version:
79p x 36 + £94 = £122.44

Refurbished = used. Music magpie = cex - they won’t do anything different, but cex give 2 year warranty.

i bought the iphone SE a few weeks ago for £100. the phone is rated good, but it was pristine!! I can't find a cosmetic fault. im still testing it at the moment, before I pass on to my mum to use. 16GB is good for her. she takes the odd photo and I keep the phone as simple as possible for her
Any idea how easy it is to unlock?

Just Google megapixel myth you will see it was a marketing ploy there's a lot more difference between 2mp and 9mp and 9mo and 18mp for instance. These deals are great but don't be under any illusion they are second hand and have minimal testing. You regularly hear of people on here who take in stinker phones to cex and there's a reason they've sold it to them. Not cold but be aware what your buying

I bought one on that deal as well, same colour. It was graded good but arrived looking like yours, so chuffed to bits. It is a bit of a lottery tho I guess. Don't forget the new battery for £25 before the end of the year!

Someone said in the 6s thread it’s £5 on ebay for unlock code BUT you need to supply a vodaphone number.....

Same here- a couple of very light marks. As for batteries try Battery Doctor from the Apple Store (its free) to check the life of your battery. Depending on your usage* you may not want to spend the £25 if your battery still shows lots of life.

All mine devices looked fine (which surprised me) but some people say results vary after full restores. I am not convinvced 100% either way but it might help guide you if you want to repalce the battery.

Weird, I read somewhere else (Vodafone forum) that you can't get an unlock code for iPhones that Apple has to do it 'over the air'. Is that nonsense?
Ordered a silver one when there were only 5 left and there are still 5 left after checkout. Looks like their stock levels are not updated realtime so suspect they will not be able to fill all orders when they come to pick/pack

This is the fastest phone you can buy for this amount of money by some margin. At £100 it's an absolute steal. Next best phone to this performance wise would be iPhone 7 or the Samsung S8, both cost much more.

Yh 16GB is good but why can't they also add ths IOS too as it's not really 16GB then, I agree with your point though

Why should I? You can if you like, but don't tell me what to do.

What are you talking about? I never told you to dislike an iPhone? It’s supposed to be read as - “[You may] dislike iPhones, but their performance...”. You probably should’ve paid more attention in English class...

I got an SE delivered from CEX this morning, had a 6 for 3 years. I'm loving it, so small. The thing is, iOS is so optimised for the smaller screen that everything works well. On andriod it would be terrible.
