John Lewis have price matched Argos and knocked £40 off the iPhone SE 32 GB.

Come with a 2 year guarantee from John Lewis, rather than a 1 year from Argos

Even if it dies on day 731, you still have bought a new iPhone for the equivalent of £12.50 per month. Chuck in a cheap PlusNet sim and it works out as £18.50 per month all in

You sold five of them for more than you would pay in Cex or the like with an original box?

You're clearly a Jedi.

I agree, the O2 refresh method that gets you a pretty much brand new SE for just over £100 as well as 12-month o2 warranty and pretty much always 3-12 months directly with Apple albeit not the easiest but definitely justifies a whopping £200 saving in my opinion. Got a Rose Gold version for my mum and she's very happy with it.

Appreciate there are cheaper and probably better phones out there for the same money, but if you want to stick with iOS, then this is about the best way or doing it as cheaply as possible

So you bought phones via O2 refresh using a personal account, rather than trade, then sold them on through a business.

Is that even legal?

Nothing personal but just based on what you've said here, as a buyer I'd avoid your business on principle. 150% mark up, and exploiting a loophole to obtain a competitors stock (thereby reducing availability to the public via that method) isn't a business model I'd want to support.

Because it not an Android phone & will continue to get updates long after the current & last years Android flagship's has stop receiving them.

The SE is perfectly capable of running this year iOS 11 & possible 12 aswell thanks to the A9 & 2GB of ram, so there is at least another good couple of years left in this phone before it starts to slow, Apple only recently released a new iPad with the A9 so it shows there is plenty life left yet in the chipset.

Yes I think they will, I done it on a TV a few years back. They reduced the TV a few weeks after I had bought it and refunded me the difference within 3 days. It is 28 days though so be quick:D

There's as much life as apple allow. While manufacturers stop supporting after awhile.. don't believe samsung are any different. (S5 got updates officislly).

Failing that.. and this is where android or samsung is superior... you can flash whatever you want and keep up-to-date unoficially through community builds which are often better anyway.

One major benefit of having an Apple product is that if it develops a fault you can take it into an Apple store and they'll replace it immediately. I've taken phones that were over two years old in and they have replaced them under warranty.

Very true. I took my wife's iPhone 5 into the Apple Store as it developed a fault at 27 months old. They replaced it with no quibble. I don't know if it matters that we bought that phone directly from Apple. Fantastic customer care.

Yes, it does make a difference if you buy it direct from Apple. If the phone is over 12 months old and purchased elsewhere Apple will tell you to take it back to the retailer you bought it from.

I have a iPhone SE,great little phone with excellent battery life and a superb camera

If its within 35 days of purchase you should be okay, after all you could return and rebuy at lower price.

Well done. HUKD is not all about spending money then!

Look at the O2 deals. £102 for 16G and was £192 for 64G. I got a 64G and it was in immaculate condition and never been used.

Can I buy a refreshed SE without first being on an O2 contract?

How an iPhone se can sell for 300 is beyond me. Garbage

Imo only a deal around £600 for the latest iphone is a DEAL. Just because rrp of an old phone is high at apple doesnt make these attractive to me.

In addition to the 2 year warranty, another good point to buying from John Lewis is that the iPhone's they sell are completely unlocked and remain unlocked after inserting a SIM, so you can easily swap SIMs and use local SIMs in foreign countries when travelling. These are the same as the one's sold directly by Apple.

However, so-called "SIM free" iPhone's sold by Argos and Carphone Warehouse will become permanently locked to the network of the first SIM you insert, and only work with UK SIMs so are no good at all if you want to change networks.

Good point. Can't speak for Argos etc but for those considering buying on o2 refresh, you are a contract customer, and can unlock the phone from o2 using the online form thingy. Just remember to do it before cancelling the contract.

Funny you should mention milk as several supermarkets have been subject to widespread boycotts at times due to their underhand trading practices. The supermarkets responded by producing lines of milks with assured supplier pricing and internal regulation.

I suggest you 'get a grip', because how you spend has the power to influence the market, and if you have any decency at all, you exercise that power judiciously. It's called consumer power and it's basic economics.
