£1332 total cost is pretty good for three years worth of contract IF you can live with the low allowances. I actually think this is the best deal I’ve seen for an X but I still wouldn’t pay that. Personally I think they’ve gone beyond what is acceptable by quite a margin

Just buy a Samsung s8 ? This phone just rips off it's design anyways

I was going to post this deal, but knew it would get cold.

The real deal is at £43 or 46 per month with no upfront cost.

I think it's a bad deal. The phone is £1000. So the SIM is 9.22 a month. You could 0% finance through Apple and get a better sim only deal

Don’t know why people are rushing to buy the device. Be wise folks and wait as with a new design may come issues. I urge people to wait till early next year and by that time any issues will be ironed out hardware as well as software. Also you will get better deals. Apple and network providers are milking the money due to the high demand. This is my opinion folks so go easy 😊

I think the new iPhone X may be less painful than a holiday with the missus, and have more functionality

Need to do some research in HEVC before making a comment like this..

First they tie u to a 3 years Contract then they bleed u for data and minutes usage. No thanks!

36 months contracts should be made illegal
Edited by: "humadoon" 28th Oct

Maybe it’s just me stereotyping but I think the kind of person who wants an iPhone X isn’t going to tolerate such a tiny amount of data or minutes and also having a phone which is 3 years old by the end of the contract. I guess paying an extra £3 a month is the obvious fix but still 3 year term which is just crazy...

86 a month for me on EE... thankfully It’s with 100gb data so I can finally end my landline..... oh wait Apple have that stupid data limit on downloads.

Not sure the problem really... if you take the 5GB data plan do the maths then it’s 12.25 per month for the sim deal plus 27.75 per month for the phone. Got my iPhone 6 Plus and it cost me 44 quid a month over 24 months and ended up going sim only for 12 months. People who change phone every two years and are happy paying 60-100 quid a month are crackers as a comparable plan would be nearly double in overall cost which is a poor deal

3 year contract on a phone where the (non-replaceable) battery will be lucky to last a year; only the REALLY special people are going to buy this.

The price is irrelevant. We live in a credit society. It matters not if they have the grand or two now... it's ont' tick innit.

ipeople are a type of cult. they will behave how Apple instructs them to

Heat added but now regret adding. 36 months + only 1.2gb data + on virgin mobile.

Yea - old news, compresses- but how much compression can u do before keep needing to transfer or cloud it. You don’t get the point- 64gb won’t go far. It’s not just video and camera is it? Apps photos and a few other bits and bobs you may not be aware of.

I’ve got a 256GB 7+ and now 8+. The answer to your question is a lot...and 64GB is good for this model as not a media device.

Apps, photos and video...you mean the things everyone is aware of when it comes to taking space?

His was a valid comment. HEVC isn’t some magic bullet to indefinitely increasing demand for high quality video, it’s better but in a few years 64GB will seem restricted. 375MB per minute of 4K video, 64GB won’t last long with everything else

3 year contract... does this mean also 3 year warranty on the phone?

I think it will be plenty for most people. I’ve got a 256GB model but not everyone needs that. Plus just transfer stuff to your MacBook or PC every few months. HEVC isn’t magic but I think 5 minutes is the most I’ve ever recorded on my phone and think a lot of people will be the same.

Looks like Virgin Mobile are being sneaky and you're actually signing up to a three credit agreement for the iPhone X, and the mobile contract part can be cancelled early...

But it states in the below news article, that this is only detailed deep in the T&C's, that the airtime contract can be cancelled early.

Complete nonsense, you Apple haters REALLY need to try harder !!

My WIFE had an iPhone from new, after 2 years it couldnt keep a charge for a 5 hour working day; it spent its entire life from 18 months onward plugged into a powerbank.

She now has a 2 y/o Samsung, which lasts about 2 working days, or one weekend day..

Heat added for Apple 😜

1.2gb data per month for 36 month contract I wonder what idiot in virgin media thought that is a good package to market.

Not putting this deal up as it will go stone cold but the best monthly deal I have found for the iPhone X 64gb is:

iPhone X 64gb
Unlimited Mins, Texts, 3GB Data
£510 upfront, £27 per month

Adds up to £1158 meaning after phone cost the phone plan is only £6.60 per month
