Not really a major deal however it’s the cheapest you can purchase the iPhone sim-free with one of the quickest lead times.

New iPhones are rarely discounted so I think this is a great buy if anyone is looking for the new iPhone.

What a time to be alive!

Exactly the discount I have been waiting for - my life is now complete.

I would wait a little longer, a friend of mine says that the 8 is outselling the X, the animated emoji feature is a one day wonder I think the price will be reduced by at least a £100 to compete with the likes of the Galaxy 8 which is selling well.

20% would have been nicer

Was it incomplete without an iPhone x ?

Apple are quite stubborn so I highly doubt this discount will be any greater then this within the next 6 months, after that is there any point as the new iPhone will be out.

that's a 2.002002002002002% reduction, tempted not!

The 8 has been available for longer, and of course is cheaper, so it’s no secret or surprise that it will sell in greater numbers.

I understand that Apple have sold over 15m X’s so far, so I don’t think they will be dropping the price to get rid of them anytime soon.

Your friend sounds like a terrible advisor, don’t take too much notice of him

More disseminated misinformation? The new iPhone (XI?) will NOT be out in the next six to twelve months.

The best thing I did was leave Apple a few weeks ago. Over priced for what you are getting.

What a deal RRP is £999.99

£10 quidco too

Well I guess let’s just see how cold this gets, maybe it will best the price.

I wonder why Currys have no stock but cpw have plenty and cheaper but same company...

£20 off RRP of a product that's in high demand is surely still hot? Not scorching hot, but it's certainly not cold.

Too many self-righteous moaners on this site. This phone is too expensive for my tastes but that doesn't mean it isn't a good phone for those that can afford it, and £20 is still £20 towards a case. If I were in the market for an iPhone X then this would sway me towards CPW - particularly as it isn't easy to get walk-in stock anywhere at the minute.

Great £20 off so many things to buy with the extra cash in my pocket..(embarrassed)

Get extra 10££ quidco offering off sim free handsets

fantastic deal- i'll go and get a couple. Actually probably can't do so as all stock taken by those on benefits (at least in my area that is the norm)- can't afford anything and live of the state but all have the latest iphones.

Apple is now 1 week delivery and walk in stock Available, I can go to the Trafford center now as in stock I am getting another but want a decent deal just been offered one on gumtree £800 but upgrade so a bit wary

Never buy phones off Gumtree. Not worth the risk. I wouldn’t even buy a phone from a vicar if he were selling via Gumtree.

I'd have been all over this, if only it didn't have that sticky out bit at the top of the screen...

I don’t know why you say that I have sold plenty of phones on gumtree all legit and I’m straight up wouldn’t rip anybody off intentionally, so surely they are others who aren’t bent not everybody is a scammer imo you have to have a bit of trust in people

I’m sure you’re perfectly legit but I don’t personally think it’s worth putting trust in people on that site because you can never know for sure if you’re going to get scammed - even the most honest looking people can be scammers, and it’s putting trust in strangers and giving them the benefit of the doubt that leads to losing your money when you get unlucky.

Personally I will never use Gumtree for phones and I certainly wouldn’t spend £800 there but if you’re happy to do that, that’s all good. Everyone has their own approach to life.

I’d rather pay more and have peace of mind.

Tbf my dad bought bought me the newest iPhone of gumtree a few years back for £200 less than the retail price brand new. O2 had messed up and sent the seller 2 lol. So not always a scam my dad was worried as we traveled 20 miles.

Paid full price for this at launch and haven't really regretted it. Yes, Android is cheaper but if you want an iOS device and a high-end one, choosing the X over the 8 makes sense.

O2's fault, but they could always blacklist the one you bought, I've seen that before. Anyway if it's brand new and gets blocked (through no fault of yours) you can have it swapped at Apple - there are reasons when the buyer (i.e. you), buys in good faith and got stitched up.

To clarify, I’m sure there are good deals but I don’t think it’s worth the risk because no matter what the seller says it could be just a load of old bunkum they’re making up - won it at a fair, won it in a competition, mum bought it for birthday etc. Not everyone is dishonest but the site attracts scammers due to the anonymity it offers and if your phone gets blocked the police and networks will do nothing.

Best iPhone X deal at the moment is at mobiles.co.uk:

iPhone X 64GB on O2
12GB data and unlimited calls/texts
£450 up front and £29/m for 24 months

Overall cost is £1146 therefore getting a 12GB sim for around £6 a month. Unlike most other phone contracts this one actually gives you a discount over time as oppossed to interest over time.

Seriously? £1k for a mobile. World has gone mad. Apple raising the price barrier to boost revs to make this the new acceptable price level. For what justifiable reason over previous models...?

You are feeding the beast

In fact best deal is keeping £979 in your back pocket
