looks like decent price. Cheapest selling at £839 for locked versions. Don’t forget £2.50 extra quidco bonus. Got £100 off Boxing Day offer.
Potentially inc quidco (£5 + £2.50) £831.50 if brought in other variations.

No charger at all, no genuine USB lead and no genuine ear pods, no thanks

But the real dealbreaker is that it includes an iPhone.

Not just any iPhone, iPhone X 😜
Pretty good price so voted hot. Although I never pay more than £250 for a sim free phone as I find a phone for £250 gives me all that I need. Each to their own though
I’ll say with confidence that the price of this phone will tank in the coming months. Apple’s share price fell 2.5% this week on poor sales, knocking almost $2b off the company’s value in a day.

Wait until March if you can to see what Q1 sales look like. If as poor as the most recent three months have been there’ll be quite a few deals about, like the Very 20% off deal that I used to by my iPhone 7

So as I said no charger, and only a 3rd party usb lead and 3rd party ear phones

Chances are if you have a modern apple product, then you will already have them. A genuine charger/usb/headphones don’t cost £70.
Plus you could invest in some fast charge devices. Genuine type c cable, plus third party charger. Cost me £38 all in

If you can shell out £869 for a refurb, i'm sure buying one new isn't going to be an issue realistically
I Always buy direct from Apple as their products are covered by their 6 year consumer law and is relatively easy to claim if somethings wrong. But good nonetheless good price

Genuine items from theApple store, lightning lead £19, power adaptor £19, earphones £29, lightning to 3.5mm jack £9 all items that are supplied if bought brand new. So no sorry they don’t cost £70, they cost £76

This will be some of the many returned x phones with bad screens. Colour shift is terrible on this phone, I've returned 3 and gave up. Been on the macrumor forums and there have been many others returned for this reason.

Also pink lines down the side of display, dust inside camera, screen/body clicks when pressed, duff speakers, scratched screens out of box, scratched bezels out of the box, screen scratching super easily.I know all devices have bad batches but when a phone cost this much it's OK too demand better quality control.

Most disappointing iphone launch in my opinion after all the wait and build up for this anniversary phone.

Refurbished already!!
£870 for a 2nd hand phone, the world has gone mad!
Couldn't recommend this phone to anybody. I had one and returned it. Truly hateful phone. Face ID is tragic.

Can I offer the alternative viewpoint in that I thought Face ID was excellent and the device on the whole was really nice. I just couldn't ultimately afford it/justify it.

When did apple start passing laws?
I just had mine delivered and its like new. Indeed the phone was brought on 5th December by the original buyer, as that’s when my warranty runs out next year. Well happy as the phone is immaculate with no issues. Yes sure it’s “second hand” but saving £130 for 3 week phone is acceptable, if you are happy with the accessory issue.

No doubt about it being a very nice device. Mine was Space Grey and it was something to look at. I thought at this price it needs to be very very close to perfect and IMO it isn't.
If you can afford nearly £900 for a second hand phone, from a non-apple shop, then you can afford a £1000 new phone from Apple.
Or you shouldn't be buying one in the first place..

Sometimes people have a threshold in what they are prepared to pay. I would not pay over £900. Hence, it actually works out at £831 if you buy locked version. I paid £861 for a 3 week old phone. If their is a problem I will go to Apple, so what’s the difference ?
I still have unused accessories from other phones, so it worked out beneficial for me.
each to their own. I personally think I saved £139. A saving is a saving.

Sorry, but talking about £900 or £1000 thresholds on a phone is ridiculous. A £200-300 will easily do the same stuff.
And who knows what the previous owner did with it..

Mine was registered on 5th December and is in immaculate condition (as new). I am happy to pay £861 but not £1k. It’s like a BMW and KIA. Both can do the same job, but people still buy both. It’s what one likes. BTW I sold my 7+ for £500, so only cost me £361 net (not inc 7 plus original price). Plus you cannot get a £200-£300 with the same camera etc... I will sell my bridge Camera and keep this one. 240fps SMand 4k 60ps. Sorry people look at all the package and not just the price. I Respect your point of vie though.
