Still about £400 more than it should be.
I love Apple, but I feel you are better off paying £729 for the latest iPhone 11.

I have an iPhone X and a Samsung Galaxy from my work. I despise the Samsung. Not because I’m in love with Apple. I just don’t get on with with the Samsung.

Consumer choice I guess..

$599 in the US and $699 for the iPhone 11, however it’s more expensive here in the UK?

We do - App crashes and half baked offerings. Oh and compromises galore. I’ll stick with my XR thanks.

It’s not £699 more like £800
Nice phone but be very wary it’s big and heavy
might as well get the iphone 11 for an extra 100 sheets

Nope, but it does give the user a sense of humour....

True, but most UK TV channels aren’t in HD yet and screens are obviously far larger!!

Liquid Retina is quite weird way to spell LCD
Good price but I would not buy it before new models come out as hopefully prices will drop.
also comes with 12 months appleTV+ (£4.99 a month (£59.88 for the year)
but for me the extra £100 for the Iphone 11 would be better and to have a extra years Ios support.

p.s i am still rocking a iphone 6. that is turning 5 years old. sadly no more IOS support after next week for me.
but i am guessing 2-3 years still of app support. so i am in two minds to update or wait till next year

All the iPhoners showing us that the only other phone brand that they have heard of is Samsung.

Try a P20 Pro or P30 Pro, then tell us how good your iPhone is

For balance, I have an iPad Pro 11”, the latest Mac mini, a MacBook Pro touch bar, a 27” iMac and AirPods, so generally really rate Apple stuff, but iPhones are utter junk.
So voted cold, I really think it’s worth the extra £70 for the 11. Apple have a chance to make a good phone very accessible. I’ll take a guess that they’re concerned if they reduce it further, it’ll be heavy competition for the 11.

Besides the arguably poor res screen(one of the better lcd), this phone is top 'notch'!
I’m needing a new phone & cant decide on the x or the new 11

If your being serious, I’d love to know why?

I have an iPad Pro 2017 and the S8 and whilst I love the iPad tablet itself, the software isn’t very good, apps that I use aren’t as good either which surprised me given the whole apps are better on iOS stuff. Games yes, apps no.

Also, I feel like I’m fighting for control of my iPad, this is also somewhat similar to my S8 it has to be said with Knox, but generally I can do what I like on android, not so on iOS.

Then there is the price of apps on iOS, how the hell they get away with charging what they do on iOS is beyond me, crazy prices for subscriptions in things like file managers, basic functionality in my opinion.

You have trouble even downloading in safari, Firefox and chrome are a joke on iOS as they're just safari skins really, and don’t even think about extensions.

I’ll stick with my iPad and I quite like it, for the hardware, but there’s no way I’ll be getting an iPhone.

Voted hot, but this should have maybe been the price on launch date last year, so still not reasonable

£100 more for an iphone 11, which has the following:

Wide camera
Night mode for cameras
Slightly better pictures and videos
Another year of OS support
Better battery life
12mp front camera

I'm one of the cheapest people around, but £100 extra is a no brainer.

I had android phones for over 10 years, changing or at least shopping around for something new every 6 months or so. Then I got an Iphone 6s and love it for over 3 years. Switched to a Note 9 which is a very capable handset but not keeping it. Switching back to iPhone after 4 months.
Each to their own.
IPhone 11 will be RRP £729 for 64GB model NOT £699 as people are commenting here
