Been looking at the iPhone ‘deals’ following launch if the new phone. Came across this which seems amazingly cheap....only the silver which is heavily reduced but that is what I was looking for.

Nice find
Lol was it you I spoke to on here earlier? I told someone if you could get an iPhone XS brand new unlocked for same price as the plain budged iPhone 11 it’s be a good deal. Then this appears at around the same price.. good deal and better phone than plain iPhone 11 apart from a couple of small things, personally though the far superior screen makes this better in my eyes.

This is on that iPhone 11 64gb for £679 deal that’s super hot.
how comes its this cheap!?
Bit confused with the name. Is it the small version? Genuine question

Yes it’s the smaller one....the other one is XS Max.
Free 2200mAh power bank too it seems
Are these brand new? as a lot i see are pre owned on the site.

Will take this over the basic 11 any day... that 2 eyed camera just doesn’t cut it for me. Sticking to my XS Max until next year maybe

Nope, it has a nicer display but that’s it.
Just asking but wouldn’t the iPhone 11 be better option. Can’t remember specks but isn’t the camera better on 11 & bigger screen & colour options.

Only reason I ask is that wife’s after a new phone as she’s had enough of the Samsung handset she’s been using for a while and wants to return to Apple and IOS & she’s not nicking my XS Max

Maybe....I don’t want the 11 as not keen on the colours and I think, like the XR, the screen is slightly bigger which put me off.

Look at the chats on the other iPhone 11 deal there’s an argument on both sides as to which is best. I’d say the iPhone XS hands down. But the basic iPhone 11 has slightly better camera, slightly faster though you won’t notice it, slightly better battery but for me an Xs still has plenty battery at end of day so extra battery is no help but may be to some. If those things aren’t a big deal then the fact the Xs has a oled display which is far superior to the iPhone 11 lcd screen that’s only just over 720p so can’t even watch in HD.

Your plainly under valuing the difference between a none hd lcd display compared to a oled display. Although if you don’t care about a weak screen the 11 is slightly better. But most will choose a far superior screen over some slightly better none important things.
Trying to decide between this and an 11. One big benefit i can see of the 11 is the new night mode photos which give much improved night shots. I don’t think that function will be on the xs will it?
Ps. This is one hell of a good deal for an xs! Just unsure if it is better value than an 11??

Swings and roundabouts really, some like the idea of owning newer model, some don’t like owning a budget phone like the iPhone 11 and prefer a flagship model like the iPhone XS or 11 pro, if a good screen is important the Xs is much better if having latest model is important then choose 11. Both are great deals but if someone offered me a brand new plain iPhone 11 256gb unlocked you swap for my current 1 year old iPhone XS 256gb unlocked I wouldn’t swap for sure. I watch videos on my phone so the superior screen is worth so much more to me.

Of course not. I’m using xs by the way

No, if that’s important the 11 is good option but how often do you take photos in dark situations when you don’t use a flash? If you do take those photos the 11 will be great. Other option is to find a good deal on 11 pro then your getting the best of everything.

What do you think sets the plain budget iPhone 11 as better than this?

I have trawled through the advert and there is nothing to suggest otherwise. If it turns up and it’s not new I will be making a complaint but even if it is a grade A refurb it is still very competitive. Apple are still knocking out the iPhone X re-furbed at £699.
I would recommend speaking to appliances direct about what condition this phone is. Reason being is that the iPhone Xs space grey which is grade a is selling for £799.00 on their site. So I can only imagine that this phone is refurbished maybe grade b or grade a max.

This would be far too cheap for a brand new iPhone Xs 64gb seeing as they retail for about £949.

I can't see any free power bank? Can anyone else?

Haven’t these been known for selling new cheaper than used like with the Apple Watch deals they’ve had

I know, it shows the reduction off the RRP and there is nothing to mention that it is not new. I have been through the ad several times. I might ring them tomorrow or just wait and see what it is like when it turns up. If it turns out to be a mistake I’ll update the post. The other colours are still full price, it’s only the silver one which is reduced.

Cheap for the (old) model. If not brand new, AD haave a lot of returns to deal with. Yes, way better than the 11 which has a describably low end screen.

I just re-checked the website. The space grey version which is a Grade A re-furb is clearly marked as such and only has a 90 day warranty. This has a 12 month warranty which would suggest it is new.

Slightly better none important things? Yes screen is better on the XS but do you plan on keeping your photos on your XS forever? The better camera is much more important than the screen and then the better processor to go along with it.

The PPI is still the same as the previous iphone displays which at 326 is perfectly adequate. I disagree, most people would rather choose a larger display with a better battery life and an upgraded processor, hence why the XR has sold so well.

The iPhone X processor is better than any android phone on the market Apple are so far ahead the slightly better processor makes no real world different. In fact ask anyone using an iPhone 7 and they have no issues and notice no difference with the 7 the the Xs. The 11 photos aren’t that much better and since it’s missing the better zoom on the 11 of you ever zoom in for a photo the Xs will take that photo better. Maybe some photos will look slightly better on a few years when I look back if I had an 11 over the Xs but I look at my screen for hours a day and I’d much prefer having a far superior screen to look at every day for the next couple of years and sacrifice the photo quality a little on a pc in a few years time. Like I said though if purely photos is all that’s important and you don’t care about the weak screen then go for the 11 I’m just saying the majority of people will choose a good screen over the other improvements. Ask every iPhone XS user if they’d prefer the budget 11 over there Xs and I guarantee the majority would rather the Xs although there will be a small minority pick the budget iPhone 11.

I disagree the 2 year old iPhone X has 458 ppi so even a 2 year old iPhone has a far superior screen to this. Yes this does have same ppi as an iPhone 4 but most want an improvement.
