Very good price for this excellent phone, loads of storage and still faster than pretty much every Android handset on the market. Hot!

Plenty of SD855 units out in the wild that match or best this for less than half the price. Plus 855 is 5G ready.

But yeah, most devices by Android will be slower in raw processing power. Still infinitely better value spec for spec though (but we all agree apple design and quality is excellent).
Pointless buying a previous gen phone when the XII is due in IX months.

It’s not about the price it’s about the saving for someone who wants the phone
I do understand is an excellent phone but I think £900 is far too much for any phone no matter, android or ios

Not really, I still have my 6s and still going strong.
Who said I would? It’s was released in 2015
Lol £900 for a previous gen, previous launch year (almost 2) phone. One for the fan boys with no sense I think and I like iPhones.

By almost two years? It’s 15 months, which is closer to a year than your inflation. Seems crazy people on here get personal about deals. Find it cheaper and I will listen

It kind of is both.

Not really, the price is personal preference. For someone who can afford it, and is looking for this phone, it’s a good deal.

True, but it's still a bad deal for most people as they don't actually need it.

I would say it’s a bad option, not a bad deal.

Bad option and an overpriced deal.

Better than your iPhone X deal this time last year

I meant calendar year. What year was the phone launched? It's nearly 2020 so you're looking at a 2018 phone. It's crazy to pay £900 for such a phone, no matter how much people want to brag how good iphones are. It's also crazy to pay £1200 for a Note 10 plus 5G. These phones are not twice as good as say the One plus 7 pro.

Why would you count the 8 months before it was released? The phone model is 15 months old. It’s another 9 months till another model and this phone becomes two year old??? The price of the phone is set by the company and rrp not me, I’ve simply found what I see as a cheaper option if someone was looking to buy it. Your personal valuation of the phone is totally up to you but show me a cheaper new version of this phone
mattybayston28/12/2019 11:03

The same actually

Not really this is the max and £10 cheaper
Not a fan of this model myself due to Apple restrictions and currently don't appear to be jailbreakable due to chip version. No youtube above 1080p.

However it is a decent quality phone with good camera and led screen. I know alot of ppl didn't bother upgrading to 11 as screen was lcd and over priced for just better camera and no 5G anyway.

Another friend who upgraded to iPhone 11 max said barely noticed any difference and he paid 1500+ for the 11 pro 512 on release, so being last gen or not personally I wouldn't care as there isn't a big jump unless you are into photography

I think this is not bad price if you want brand new and need the 512 storage and Apple warranty.

Never understood why people continue to suggest phones that run Android when the people looking at iPhone deals are obviously looking to get an iPhone. If you want an iPhone it's usually because you like and value iOS and the Apple ecosystem - suggesting an Android phone isn't going to be any use to those people.

At the end of the day, all modern smartphones pretty much do the same things. The only major difference is the operating system. Hardware specifications are at the stage where they greatly exceed what most people actually need and only the spec nerds would actually notice the difference in day-to-day use.

Some people prefer Android and some prefer iOS. The fact that you can supposedly get the "same" (actually not the same at all) spending less on a completely different platform is irrelevant.

5G is currently useless for most of the population. Even if you live in an area with 5G, speeds are often slower than 4G and go up and down moving 5 paces down the road. It's going to a few years before most people really start to see the benefits of 5G everywhere, and by then newer, cheaper, faster 5G handsets with better 5G modems will be available.

I didn't.

First post said it was more powerful than Android options. I replied in context.

Cheerio.
I know it’s 512 but I would rather get an iPhone 11 256gb for cheaper

As a deal is crap. Price wise, maybe.
