£30 for 2GB?

Bought one that looks pretty much the same and takes SD cards for 80p, off some Chinese website, works fine.

It's got an Apple on the back that's surely worth it, no?

^^^^^^

Sigh.

No. Maybe if it had a peach or a a pomegranate on the back it might be different ;-)

Same build quality and with a 15 hour battery life?

The relevance of which is?

Most of the non branded ones are like 3 hours battery. Sandisk is good but not as small.

I think I'll get this, my shuffle which I bought in 2005 is too old, even though it still bloody works. For what these are, there is nothing that comes close in terms of reliability, at least none that I know of.

apple is a bump.... Even my MacBook Pro that cost £1500 had a hitachi hard drive while my mates one was actually up branded. Anyway... Allow the war before some apple keyboard warriors start showing their wrath.

Unbranded ***

If it had the Apple buds included it would have been hot.

These are great for the gym. I'm not really a fan of Apple products, but these are fantastic. I've been using one for around 6 months, and even when my sweat covers the front during workouts, it still lasts. Plenty of battery to last 4 sessions at the gym. It's only 2GB but I fill it up with my workout tracks and I barely have 1GB worth. They stay secure on your clothing, even while running on the treadmill. Worth the purchase if you're thinking of hitting the gym soon.

I think this is a good price as I paid £35 for the same one in pink for my daughter

This is the perfect example example as to why when people say "you're voting on the deal, not whether you think the item is any good or not" they are wrong.

This might be the cheapest you can get this item, but that doesn't male it a good deal. £30 for a 2gb player without a screen doesn't seem great to me.

I don't give a sheet about your personal opinion on the product.

If you've ever used the VoiceOver on this (so you don't even need to look at the screen, just press the button while it's in your pocket), then you would understand how uninformed your comment is.

are these really genuine items? i sometimes doubt these items sold by non authorises dealers

The apple EarPods retail at £29 so hot from me!

Are you suggesting Amazon would sell knock off items? Buy for full RRP from an Apple store and enjoy your purchase...

So what exactly do you think Amazon is?

Really don't know why this is getting hot votes.

Items sold by consumers through amazon sell replicas so fair point made. He obviously knows what amazon is

stupid price for an mp3 player with no screen.Terrible.Cold deal

As someone who commutes daily on trains into and out of London I can tell you that Apple branded earphones are the worst around. This included the newer style ones that come with the new iPhones. They just leak so much sound and I really don't understand how anyone can think they should be used and not immediately replaced. Then again I don't understand how anyone can buy Apple branded products at all. There's clearly a type.

People who is complaining there is a lack of screen clearly does not get what the point of a "shuffle" is. In that case just move on rather than vote cold.

Judging by the heat, there are plenty of idiots still willing to buy them...

Yeah, like they never sold Fake £130+ Tissot watches recently? If a supplier tells Amazon they are giving them the genuine article, they are inclined to believe them, but it isn't always the truth.

apple event is on the 22nd of this month so there may be a better one out for £10 more soon

Great price, great product, heat added. NOt for me though, my old one is still going strong.

You seem pleasant.

Think I'd get the sansa clip+ or the clip zip for the same money.

I have two of both. The Sansa has deffo superior sound and more functions, particularly when Rockboxed, if that is your thing.

Where it falls down compared with the Shuffle is on battery life - this tends to deteriorate fairly quickly with the Sansa. Added to that reliability issues with Sansas dying suddenly and the fragile plastic clip, which is very easy to break off and you need to decide whether you want a compact player to enjoy your music or a compact player to drown out the rubbish music they tend to pipe into gyms.

If the latter, then the Shuffle is better suited. It is more robustly built, has mediocre sound but can be operated by hand without needing to peer at a screen. It can also be operated with Apple compatible headphones (a fairly crappy Apple set is supplied) with controls on the cable - handy if you are running or on a treadmill.

Also one trick the Shuffle has up its sleeve - you can download firmware when setting up the Shuffle for the first time that will read out the track name if you hold the play button down for a second or so. Useful for those with poor sight.

No don't think so as the entire iPod line apart from the Classic had a colour refresh around the launch of the 5C and 5S to replace Black/Slate models which scratched and chipped instead with Space Grey.
