This blasted web site is costing me a small fortune! Good find, and another order placed.

anyone know of the quality of this and if it has any compatibility issues with video ipods like some simular docks do?

The reviews on amazon aren't good...

actually just read some reviews on amazon and the basic consensus is that its a piece of crap lol

I would recommend this iPod dock from Acoustic Solutions: ]http//ww…htm

Bought three of these over Christmas including one for myself. Originally £79.99 then reduced to 39.99 but now it's an absolute bargain at £22.99!

And the best thing? It comes with a remote Sound quality at this price is excellent too. For lots more information see the original deal thread: ]http//ww…ons

Note: Comes with loads of dock adapters but for the 2nd Generation Nano use the adaptor supplied with the player.

The display has a cool white backlight that matches the unit and the brightness is adjustable (it is bright too!). It looks great and feels great...solid construction and nice features.

Does it have a clock

Yeah clock/radio also has a smaller dock for the shuffle. Also has aux in.

Been trying to find one of these for weeks but can't get it in stock anywhere near me :-( Don't suppose one of your 3 is going spare?

Yes I've just checked and many places seem to be out of stock...not surprising.

Unfortunately they were gifts, otherwise I would offer you one!

It's my own fault, i checked my local Argos one day over Christmas and they had it in stock but i was too lazy to leave the house and go get one. Next time i tried to get one it was out of stock in every Argos near me :x

Argos reserve for pick up is your friend...use it even if you change your mind and decide you dont want it as you're not committing to buy

There seem to be a lot of this "rock around the dock" sort of thing about  I like the looks of both shown here though Thanks for the original post Matrixcaps ;-)

always worth checking again after business hours, when the non collected items go live again.

I don't like the argos one that much, as the backlight when I try to sleep even on the lowest setting is way too bright. But the sounds good

We have 2 of these, you do know you can turn the backlight off completely? It cycles through 3 steps of brightness after off by pressing the snooze button on the top...:)

Does any one now if the ipod dock from Amazon comes with a remote?

Do we know if the Argos one is compatable with the 5 gen video?

My 30Gig 5 gen video works fine with it:thumbsup:

Hhhmmm I think I'm going a bit mad now. It's ok for the cash, but the damn thing hums when I use my Ipod in it. I'm sure I read somewhere how to fix this with a soldering iron, but I can't find it for love nor money at the moment. I thought it was on here, or the Moneysavingexpert site. Anybody remember seeing it?

No, but I can recommend another way of stopping the hum which requires only a hammer (claw or ball pein will suffice).
