Tesco Direct are offering 1000 clubcard points for £150 spend plus Double Points on Ipod purchases. You need to add something else worth £0.03p to get it over £150. I ordered the 8gb Ipod touch and spent £4 on toys to get 2008 points worth £80 in clubcard deals.

Use code TDX-JXK4 to get 1000 points (automatically doubled with an ipod purchase). Code valid until 01.08.10 and double points end of Aug.

I know it's not the best price but if you use clubcard deals it's well worth it.

so could i... buy one, get the 8000 points. keep it for a couple of days. not open it. take it back and get a refund then go and use my club card points to buy another one so its only costing me 70 quid? its a long process but could i do this?

Everything online and instore gives double CC points, it is a long term offer.

Are you sure it doubled the voucher value and not just the 149 points you would automatically get for the ipod?

No, Tesco have a policy where they cancel bonus points for goods that are returned. They might, - or might not - cancel the points awarded for the actual spend. If you did it several times they could cancel all the points you have!

I think these double promotions only every double the normal points. They don't double promotional vouchers,

That is correct. the voucher value is never doubled. If you buy an Ipod, therefore, you will get 1,000 plus 1,000 plus 300 points for a £150 spend, plus 298 for double points for an Ipod purchase - total 2,598.
BUT, if you spend another £50.00p you can get 1500 points with voucher code TDX-FUJD for a £200 spend rather than 1,000 for £150 spend....
Clubcard points are harder to get hold of these days, but the occasional gem comes up!

it doesnt work now

Bought one yesterday and it showed 2800 Points

Ipod touch 1500
Voucher 1000
Purchase 300
Total = 2800

Definately doubled the points for me. 2008 points for a £154 spend

Sorry, not sure how clubcard points work (dont have many) - so what can you get for 2800 points? how does that equate to £80

Yer can someone clarify that... if I just wanted to spend the 2800 points on my next grocery shop what would that equate to in cash value.

What can I get for £0.03???

lol I would like to know the same thing.

lol I would like to know the same thing.

EDIT: No you cant do this. Because they would need to take away the clubcard points made with the purchase or it will be seen as profiting etc.

It would be £28 in cash in store. Although I can only get it to give just over 2000 points which is £20 in store. If you spend it on deals you get four times the value. Deals are things like eurotunnel, days out, holidays, meals etc. Although you get £80 to spend on deals you don't get the best value on most of the things so I would say there 'real' value is around £40 to £60 depending on what you spend them on, because they can't be used with any current offers or vouchers or the price is hiked up for hotels and holidays. Eurotunnel does allow web prices to be paid for with vouchers, but Eurotunnel is usally more expensive then a ferry.....

I doubt they would take the points away as its nornally too much hassle, I have never had any removed after a refund. The main problem is that is only worth £20 against another ipod purchase and it will take several months to get them on your statement....

You can spend it with Airmiles

Airmiles: £1 clubcard Voucher = 24 miles

well i think its a good deal. Over £20 in Tesco vouchers back means i paid less than £130 for it.
Yeah i agree that the deals are over priced but if you have kids and shop regularly at Tesco the days out tickets are good value.

Can some please tell me how this works, it wont let me use any 2 codes and the most I get is around 1800 points!
Thanks.

2800 Points spent instore at Tesco would only be £28 but most savvy people don't use them in Tesco, instead they spend them on Tesco Clubcard Deals with quadruples the value of them so £28 becomes £112.

i just tried and couldnt use both vouchers, they must have cottoned on or i am using wrong codes, i given up

These eCoupons cannot be used together

One or more of your eCoupons is "exclusive", and cannot be used in the same order as any other eCoupon. The affected eCoupons are:

TDX-FUJD - 1500 Clubcard points when you spend £200 or more a
TDX-JXK4 - 1000 Clubcard points when you spend £150 or more a

Each Tesco clubcard point is worth 1p. 2000 x 1 = £20.

However, Tesco have deals with some other retailers that increase the value by 4x. So, £5 in tesco clubcard voouchers equals £20, £20 equals £80 etc.

More info provided here.

...but my opinion is this deal is worth £20 and not £80 off.

Just add one code and the 'Double points with any ipod touch' will double it at checkout. You'll see at the bottom of the payment page

They have nerfed this deal. 12 hours ago you got 1500 points automatically for the ipod touch separately and then extra for using the voucher codes for any purchase over 100/150/200. Now you only get 750 plus any extra for the voucher code

can get it for £135 from asda , its the same model ie the newest version , only good from tesco if you want the tesco voucher for meal deals etc...

AND IT'S NOT 8000 POINTS!!!!

I bought the 32GB model (surely much better value) for £229. This is not the best price but I got double standard clubcard points plus an additional 1,500 points for spending over £200 (TDX-FUJD) and another 1,500 points for buying an ipod touch giving a total of 3,458 points. Overall I think this was a good deal.

I think Tesco have closed the loophole now and you have to use a code to get the 1,500 extra points for buying an ipod touch

Spent £200 got 2600 points and £5 off through Quidco.
Thanks OP.

does the same thing work for the Ipod touch 32GB? ive been trying to see how many points i can get but it only seem to only show 1958. am i being stupid and doing something wrong here or does it not double the points when buying the 32GB one?
