Just received the Advanced MP3 Players newsletter and they are offering the iRiver Clix 2 for £99! On top of this the promo code "affclix28gb" gets you £10 off and you can get 4% Quidco on top.

I have the 4GB version of this and I can say it is the best mp3 player I have had and is an amazing little thing, there is no wonder it has a 5 star rating with over 100 reviews.

Good find on that code.

These really are fantastic little devices. If you have kids who want an mp3 player then in my view this is the one to get them. No letting iTunes screw with your PC, drag and drop the music onto the Clix (or use some other media software). Incredibly easy and intuitive UI, photos and movies look pretty good on the wee screen too. Very clear and colourful.

Got one for the 12 year old about 12 months ago to replace a 1st Gen iPod Nano and she (and her friends) just adore it. It's almost never away from her, either in her bag or on the lanyard round her neck. Her grandparent did offer to get her an new Nano just before this Xmas (not realise iPod was just a brand of this "mp3 player" thing) and she turned them down flat. Wouldn't swap it for any alternative.

You beat me to it. Was having a look on ebay searching for a clix yesterday and saw it advertised at advancedmp3players and used the code and bought me one. Then I got the email from them saying it had been reduced in price. These don't usually hang about and before long they will be sold out so get in there quick. They also have them on Amazon for £99. Great price, heat and rep added.

P.s the sound quality on the iriver is fantastic and about 3 times as good as an ipod with or without decent headphones. For anyone who's bought one of these and don't have any headphones apart from the ones bundled with the player I'd seriously consider buying some Sennheiser CX95 buds to go with it or a set of Shure se210's to get the best out of the player. Or you could spend £200 and get some Shure SE530's but I'll leave that up to you.
