Is this Irn Bru or Iron Brew (which is what the sign says)? Iron Brew is their own brand and no own brand version of Irn Bru tastes nearly as good as the original.
it is actually their own brand as I have just discovered (just been in the fridge for a glass) it looks so similar to the real one but tastes good.
I buy this and think it is as good as Irn Brew/

nobody is saying its healthy and this is a deals site not a healthy living forum so go away with jerky movements
I went to a seminar on intellectual property and irn brus marketing manager was there. He was asked what his pet hate was and he said "lidls like brands only better campaign" lol

was that because he didnt like strong competition ??
Hot

If it's that nice then let them have a shot at selling their own version of Barrs American Cream Soda

There's not a soft drink on the planet comes that close to that
Not Irn Bru - so not the deal posted.

Imagine posting iphone for £40 then saying it isn't actually an iphone ...

Mods, please expire.

I actually made the point that it was lidl own brand minutes after realising my mistake yet many people have still voted hot because its a deal, I think maybe a bit of jealousy because ur deals so far have been rubbish
No jealousy at all, if I have misposted please correct my deals, if my postings aren't good deals, vote them cold, feel free.

I voted hot on it being Irn Bru, then read the comments, 45p for budget grocer own label.....hmm I note you haven't changed the title ....

Why not expire and repost as Lidl Iron Brew if it's so hot bigshot ?
Wow, just saw you have 2 other deals, a -43 and a +28, and this claiming to be something it isn't !

Guess you are jealously guarding the thought someone likes you at last.
if somebody does like me its one more than you
Still not changed the title then, even when you know it's wrong ?

Irn Bru is a specific brand, so a little upfront honesty would be appreciated.

PS I would rather be honest than popular.

No, just tried it one of my old ones and it seemed to work ...
Irn Bru - made by Barrs & a world wide classic.

Iron Brew - Lidl own brand.

It would be like posting Lidl own brand Cola for 29p was the same as a bottle of Coke!!

Gollywood, well stated, though i must say, Paneds seems well balanced - a chip on each shoulder ...

Posts a deal for Irn Bru, as you say a world wide classic, and a brand, when it is actually Lidl (budget grocer) own label Iron Brew.

Complains when it is compared to posting an iphone deal when it is actually for an Alcatel or similar phone, then tries to claim people are jealous of the wonderful (non)deal that has had positive votes based on the deal posted not the actuality (I see that with Gollywood's strong deal history the "jealous" defence wasn't used !).

Still takes all sorts I suppose.
jesus its expired already get over it havent you got work to do or something

As you can, I'm still having my 2 pence worth..

that's how the site works.

Judging by the sulk / strop you are in over this (non) 'deal', I'll be upfront with you. You posted a deceptive deal, full of deliberate inaccuracies.

Luckily for you it was expired before an Arctic freeze descended over it.

We've all posted crud deals. Its best to accept it, show a touch of humility & get on with it....rather than going on an ultra defensive rant taking on anyone & everyone that dare pick you up on the factual errors of the posted deal.
Firstly I posted what I believed was a deal with no reason to try to deceive anybody and certainly not deliberate, as soon as I realised my mistake I made a comment for all to see that this was not irn bru but in fact lidls own brand ten minutes after posting the deal and was unable to correct the actual post because I dont know how to do it on the android app (not sure it is possible).

secondly I am over it but if people feel the need to comment further then I will reply I maybe only 14 but not going to let people speak to me how they want when all I was doing is trying to point others in the right direction to a good deal.
paneds - if you couldn't change the inaccurate title, surely the easiest thing to do would have been to expire the deal yourself - but you chose not to, and then carried out, as Gollywood says, a "rant" while you were in a sulk / strop.

Not sure what your age has to with it, no-one else here has commented on it, but perhaps it explains some of your immaturity when you are challenged. This site works based on view, review, judging and challenging if appropriate - I have posted what I perceived to be "deals" before, only to be corrected, that the price was ok, but there were better options - and I learned from that and took the advice of others with my purchase.

A "cold" deal usually gets voted "cold" though that is based on public opinion, and may not reflect the nature of something specialist, time-limited or in short supply, but where a deal misleads, deliberately, or otherwise, the members on this site have a well deserved reputation for calling it out as being misleading, - though it may take some time before this is done ... for example you may have received many positive votes from those reading the deal title and initial description who never venture in to the "comments" section, and so WERE misled, and gave positive votes "in error". In these circumstances, it is only fair that the deal is "called out", and the poster challenged, as there are steps that can be taken to correct a mispost - from editing title and narrative, to expiring the deal if that can't be done.

It appears to me, and, I would imagine to others, that you are now lashing out because your "popular" deal has been highlighted as being incorrect, the positive votes challenged as potentially having been the result of others being misled, and you would rather play the man than the ball when challenged - claiming I was "jealous" (of a factually incorrect nondeal ?) and suggesting Gollywood was a little late to comment.

Perhaps, in the interest of fairness, I could suggest that you perhaps post an apology for not correcting or expiring this deal when you realised it was wrong, then repost the deal, as "Lidl, own brand, Iron Brew at 45p a 2l bottle" (or a similar, accurate title) - then you get your deal posted (that you wanted to post), it gets commented on, and voted on based on the facts, rather than on incorrect information, and you get to see if the community really views it as a "deal" or not.

See, fair, no jealousy - big congratulations if you get mega heat for it, and if you don't well perhaps you see there was nothing to claim others were jealous of anyway.
1. The HUKD app is crap. No dispute about that!

2. Didn't know you were 14. If anything, respect to you for posting on such a site. My useless kids never showed such initiative at that age

3. Keep posting. But its good to learn from this experience. Accuracy is crucial. We've all taken a hammering when posting deals that missed out stuff....

No harm done
