Product Description:
Eliminate the chore of regular vacuuming and let the Roomba 880 Vacuum Cleaner from iRobot do all the hard work for you.
Virtually maintenance-free, the self-charging Roomba 880 can find its way around your home all by itself, so your time can be spent doing the things you enjoy. With the press of a button, you can leave the house and trust this smart vacuum to reach those tricky corners and wall edges, avoid obstacles and stairs, vacuum under furniture and clean the floor multiple times. It's even able to optically and acoustically detect dirt and debris, and focus extra cleaning on the areas that need it most.
This clever vacuum hosts an innovative cleaning system called Aeroforce that delivers a perfect balance of suction and debris extraction for exceptional results. In a brushless design, the counter-rotating, tangle-free extractors break down debris and lift dirt, while the airflow accelerator concentrates the movement of air through a sealed channel to multiply vacuum power, making the Roomba 880 5 times more powerful than previous models.

Wow this is a really good price. We paid over £500 over a year ago. Much better than older models as it doesn't have a brush to clog up.

Wondering if I should get another as spare..
Is it any good on the stairs
The 615 version is under 200 now - anyone know how they compare?

Really no comparison. I had the 500 series which is pretty much the same as the 600 series. The 800 series does away with brushes on rollers so hardly any maintenance is required. The 615 will require very frequent cleaning of hairs otherwise you risk the motor burning out which is what happened on mine.

Have just ordered another one of these!
