Not my brew but a good price and heated fer sure

Well spotted, Great price!
I'm waiting on the CD being delivered today, £8.99 off Play.com, so £3.99 for the DL is great value.
I prefer to have the actual disc though, sad i know.

HOT

Can't say no to a bit of Maiden for under £4 Cheers!

Me too - Had the special edition preordered from Play and was disappointed it never arrived either Fri or Sat, usually they are pretty good that way ho-hum.

Just a word of warning:

I downloaded albums from Amazon b4, then my PC died on me. I discovered that Amazon DO NOT let you re-download them later even though they show in your purchase history!! If you read the terms it recommends u burn it to CD.

Much appreciated, couldn't justify full price but this'll tide me over until the CD goes cheap :-)

who needs it when ya got the VINYL like me beautiful sound and great picture discs.

Great album, was listening to this at work today !!

Brilliant price....think I will go for the actual CD though. Im funny that way

I thought the new album was pretty disappointing. Too many long songs with 3 or 4 minute introductions and whats with the folk influence over the past couple of albums? I have been a Maiden fan since the early 80's (and have seen them live 5 times), but have come to the conclusion that they are quickly changing into Spinal Tap in their old age. Listen to the new album and think of a 18" stonehenge

And what have they done with Eddie?

Dave, I agree, they've taken the absolute **** with song intros, they said they want to try something different but it's not the best way they could have gone!

Also, they sacked the artist who drew the original Eddie, resulting in this weird-looking one.

yes fancy sacking Derek Riggs! idiots!
poor eddie. gets a makeover and doesnt look right.

after being disappointed at sonisphere this year, id say save your money

Don't most Download sites do that? I lost loads of stuff from iTunes when my Harddrive broke and there was nothing I could do about it; they recommend you back up all your downloads.

On the plus side, Maiden for under £4. Bargain :-)

Why do people consider themselves to be odd if they want the CD? The CD contains 10 times the detail of a .mp3 and when played on decent HiFi, it certainly shows. .mp3 files are fine if you want to play on a crappy Apple thingy, or even a decent mp3 player, but not on quality gear.

Amazon uses 320kbps very unlikely that you could hear a difference unless you have a PA rather than a HiFi.

Yes some sound enggineers including the ones I work with will claim they can tell but normally when put to the test people Fail. in fact that sounds like a fun bit of testing will rig it up when i get a chance and see how they do.

OK, I admit that many people won't tell the difference, but I certainly notice something lacking when playing an mp3 on the HiFi (British stuff, not Jap). Whatever, the CD has a case, artwork and something tangible as well as the sound quality, and is safe. I suspect that most people don't back up their music files.

Having said all that, mp3 files are perfect for the car, yet it astounds me that over 99% of car audio is still CD based, whereas I managed to find a rare player that only takes SD cards, and lets me have 25-30 albums on one card. No moving parts....ideal for a car.
