Infact I've only seen 18 of the MCU films once. IM, Hulk and GOTG 1 being exceptions as I saw twice and I've not seen Captain Marvel yet.

My daughter. We've seen Toy Story 1-3 six hundred and fifty three thousand times.

Thanks for the heads up OP.
A fantastic price for 3 new 4K films but I can honestly say I’m only after one of them.

They have just announced a proper 4k restoration.....hence why this one is going 'cheap'.....or is the one?
Edited by: "BackupAA" 14th May
I’d presume this was the restoration version as the above is a preorder and it’s not out until August. It shouldn’t be a copy of the German release

The German release is also put out by a different studio so it should be a different transfer

The Captain America and Avengers Trilogies cost the same. I think that's just the price they're charging for 4K Trilogies

Never heard of this. That's a scandal if so.

Yes but if they release another version with an improved 4k quality, that would be scandalous. I am merely responding to comments in this thread rather than any of my own knowledge of what's to come.

I was just making you aware that this is the only release that is expected on the UK market anytime soon. It is unlikely that another version with an improved transfer will be released any time soon by Disney, if ever until a new format is released.
Upscaled 4K is still better than Blu-ray Don’t let it put you off.
Oooh here we goooo! One more box set closer towards a 4K Infinity Saga collection
Are there any sets which include the 4K and 3D version?

There isn't. No.
How much? This should be £ 15 max.

lol.

A single 4K film on it's own averages out at about £15-20 in new condition. You're paying for a box set, including 3x 4K UHD films (upscaled but still better than blu-ray), therefore by this logic you should be happy that they're not charging £60 for the set (which would still be a reasonable price considering the average pricepoint per film).
Heated but I own phase 1 to 3 on Blu-Ray, hoping they release phase 4 in 4K.

Three old movies repacked in 4k UKD format should not cost that much. Everyone watched these hundred of times. I dont know, I dont see value here.

When you go to a restaurant and order the same meal do you demand that they decrease the price because you've had it many times before?

Even though it's not true 4K UHD it's still been re-worked to be of higher grade quality than your average blu-ray. This is one for the diehard collectors, and yeah, it'll probably get superseded by the eventual Infinity Saga 4K UHD set (that'll be a price to behold). But for now, £40 for a 4K box set of 3 films is good value no matter what the contents.

Take a look at the Mission Impossible 4K set, that RRP is £90 for 6 films.
mattsmith25110014/05/2019 13:00

Phase 4 should be released in 4K as each film is released

Yeah, but I mean in a complete phase 4 set as I own the other box-sets
You should add this to the 4K Blu Ray group too.
@mattsmith251100 Nice spot, thanks for sharing
I wonder if there will be a complete Avengers 4k boxset for like £300. I have the Thor and Iron Man trilogies on blu ray. A few of the films I'm not a massive fan of, but if they released a full boxset it would work out cheaper than buying them a few at a time.

Cheers. Done now
I love you 3000
First Cap, now this. I don’t like these boxsets. I’d much prefer singles, as the cardboard slips they come in look great all lined up. Do we know if they intend to split these trilogies up into separates?

They've been released in other countries individually but if they do come over here - be expected to pay around £75

I highly doubt it, it seems more cost effective for them to bundle them like this. The way I see it is that they'll release two formats for each film/franchise:

-Original trilogy/saga (eg: Iron Man 1-3, Thor 1-3, Cap 1-3, etc etc)
-The MCU Saga box set (Phase 1-3 all in one box-set)

Once all of the above are released, I reckon it'll look hella pretty when all stacked up next to each other.

That being said, there are also fan-made sleeves you can download and print yourself if you prefer individual boxes

No it shouldn't. It's 3 individual cases in a box so these will be sold separately at 20 each like the cap ones.
I've preordered this, now to get shot of my regular bluray trilogy.

The cap one is 3 amarays in a box, I assume this will be too. But I don't think the individual ones have slips.

Even so. I've seen all the MCU titles multiple times, both on cinema at home. Already own them and lik the enough to upgrade my collection!
