Okay, I appreciate that this deal may only be of interest to a small number of people - but as i found it on my travels, I thought I would share it.

Exactly like the full-size silver helmet, this 'gold' version has also been hand crafted in steel and has been given a rich brass plating. It was reproduced from the original "Tales of Suspense Volume#40" which was the first appearance of Iron Man wearing his new 'golden' armour.

* This also has a black padded lining and includes the metal display stand and 'gold' metal rods and name plaque
* A full colour, hand numbered Certificate of Authenticity is included
* Only 500 of this version will be made, the total of the silver and gold versions will add up to 1963 units, which was the year Iron Man first appeared!

TAT, how the hell can anyone justify buying such a pointless thing in this day and age?

Simple, if they have more income than they can spend on useful stuff alone. ****** all point saving it these days, might as well spend it on stuff you want rather than bank it and see it devalued.

If you really want to invest your money, better off buying gold boolean, drugs or this charming Iron Man prop than keeping it in the bank or mortage

I bet its fun in your house!

Like the OP said; it wont appeal to everyone.

I once saw a painting by a bloke named after a Citroen, apparently worth a fortune.
If you ask me it looked like a nutter had painted it!

or there's the place named after a set of blinds, with the bird who looks like she's just dropped one!
They reckon thats worth a few quid also so there's no telling what's worth what......Hey hoe

i buy a few busts statues some not much some quite a bit and if you know what your buying can be a sound investment as well as the cool factor of having some nice movie momorabillia round the house . I bought a rather nice t2 clean endoskull for £300 or there abouts try finding one now less than 900 quid . as i said these can be a nice investment but buy what you think looks good as main priorty

I agree, buy what looks nice. This looks like a giant bullet with two holes in it.
No wonder it is reduced
I can understand the T2 skull, but Iron Man is not gonna go down as an iconic film imo.

i agree the film may not be iconic but iron man himself is in comic form

I'm sorry Spanktowin, that wasn't a dig at your comments, I think we must of been writing our messages on investment at the same time. This was more of a light hearted reply to mabcc who was saying if you left your money in the bank it would just devalue

Now, if it was a Highlander 'Toledo Salamanca' replica i'd jump at it
Anything with charactor and desirability. I like pretty stuff.

I paid ot go see it at the Cinema, and that was fun. Just think its a bit daft paying so much money for such a pointless thing.

If collecting this sort of things gets some people off, fair play. I just think you must be a bit retarded on some level if you do.

Can you wear it? I'd like to scare the old lady next door with it :-D

If it was a Jack Skellington head I would have got it as mrs likes NBC and she might fancy me more in it. I've got the odd bit of movie memorabilia in the house, although she's been trying to make me get rid of the Lord of the Rings fruit machine

hahahah some comments just make me laugh......... I would rather spend my money on extra curricular activities if u know what i mean....

Nice find, a bit pricey but it would look good in a comic collector's den.

Why does "comic collector" sound much better than nerd?

If that's the case, can you tell me where you got that fetching black pudding you are wearing, or did Malcolm McLaren just let you try it on for your passport photo?

Can anyone tell me if the Iron Man helmet is road legal, or will I get pulled over wearing it on my motorcycle?
