I had two of the Forge Steel 48" sash clamps in my basket last night, but questioned if/when I would ever have a use for them, so I didn't buy. This morning I thought it would be a shame not to have them if I do ever need them... went back to the basket to complete the sale but they were out of stock. I was genuinely disappointed that I wasn't able to buy something I will almost certainly never use...

I still have around 1000 coach bolts (in a variety of sizes, obviously) that I picked up from the last end of catalogue sale (they were insanely cheap). I've never used or needed a coach bolt in my life

If you’re needing a big chopper. You’ll find plenty on here, though trades description may be proven otherwise inaccurate.

Building a workbench , clamping the wooden top together while joining/glueing it up.

There's also some 24" Forge Steel ones available for £5.99: screwfix.com/p/f…861

Thanks op just grabbed my self 3

Thought this was a wand from Harry Potter for a moment then it magically turned into a clamp. Amazing.

Great find, just ordered 2. Thanks

Not wishing to spoil your fun, but....

"In the United Kingdom and Australia, the term cramp is often used instead when the tool is for temporary use for positioning components during construction and woodworking."

Thanks Jaro1990: no need to buy more expensive Silverline equivalent on Amazon. Just returned from Screwfix with two and the quality is superb!
