See photo for more info. personally I was not going to post this as not sure of the brand but it's probably no worst than a polaroid branded set. The tv was in local tesco near Sutton, Surrey. looked to have a nice picture and was next to a Sammy set.

Can't argue with that. Sure it's not going to be as good as branded 50" but for a cheap TV sounds a good price.

Admin please update the deal is also online. Online Number -155-2551

Will be the same Vestel guts as all the Polaroid's/Technika's/Bush etc...anyway..just ignore the brand name on all of these cheap tv's as they all come out of the same Turkish factory.

Personally If £350 was my budget for a 50" TV I'd go for a HD Ready Panasonic plasma but appreciate that it's all about the numbers to some people and they will want 1080p without understanding why ;-)

Bought a 40" ISIS 2 years ago for daughter and have found set to be very good all rounder with a decent picture. Not as good as the likes of Sony, LG and Samsung but well worth the money. Paid £225 then which even today is inexpensive with plenty of connection options.

A word of caution though for anyone tempted for this. The daughters set lost sound about 6 months ago and it was one of those annoying faults that can be avoided and is known to TV engineers/repairers. It was an over the air automatic update that corrupted the sound section and now cured by switching off the automatic update. May not apply to this model though, but you never know.

If you were to place a piece of tape over the name badge then doubt could tell it was a "cheap" as in price set.

If you are not a badge snob then get this but have a look at picture instore against the main sets if in doubt.

Just my findings with ISIS 40 inch

Wasn't ISIS the goddess of greenery and fertility? Sorry just a random thought.

Can someone compare this tesco isis led tv with asda polaroid 50" led tv if possible please?

I ordered polaroid from asda 5 of may but still no answer on email when will be despatched but should be around 8 of may.I also asked on costumer service and no aswer as well.
If ISIS have a similiar picture or mayby better Iam ready to cancel my order from asda couse their customer service level is poor.

ISIS was a bestbuys own brand

I'm thinking of getting this TV on Friday using the 6 month payment scheme can anyone suggest anything better or should I go for this?

That's not strictly true, Main players these days are UMC from Slovakia, Vestel Turkey and THTF from China, It changes quite regularly as business is tendered out. From what I know currently ISIS is Vestel Turkey, Polaroid is THTF on the back of the business they do in the US with Walmart and Bush & Hitachi is a mix of all three. Its difficult to call Vestel being the biggest Own brand manufacture worldwide with THTF not to far behind. UMC make the likes of Blaupunkt etc. Much of a muchness in all honesty.

To be honest for an entry TV with a 5 year guarantee at least you haven't got to worry about it breaking down a month after the 1 year guarantee is up !

It looks the exacted same tv as the 50" Polaroid deal the other day and has the same remote and everything but is more expensive.

I purchased the Polaroid and am very happy with it for the price.

I had the same until i emailed them and stated i wasn't happy with the customer service and with in hrs i got an email stating it was dispatched then delivered 2 days later. very happy with TV and i believe its the same tv after seeing it in Tesco as above.

even the light in the bottom left to say its in standby is the same

Just a bigger target for my son to throw a toy at lol

Had the 50inch Panasonic now 2 weeks and the sound especially speach tends to rattle. screen is to shiny, very light weight. The saying is and I never followed it again has usual. You pay peanuts you get peanuts.

wrong brand really ment polaroid silly me wishful thinking.

Have ordered this, after the £20 discount code and Quidco 5% (expires in a few days) the total works out at £316.28. That's still £30 more expensive than the ASDA Polaroid set, but that £30 extra I think should be worth it for the 5yr warranty from Tesco.

Looking at the images of the Polaroid and ISIS, am I right in assuming they're both exactly the same TV just rebadged?

I have the Polaroid but it has large light bleed patches in the centre, only noticable in dark scenes, when room lighting is dim. Despite this I found the quality overall to be impressive for the price, it might not be up to snuff for the latest branded sets, but it's certainly better image quality than my smaller 4+yr old LG and Toshiba, so can't moan. Now, just if I can get a set without issue, then all is good.

Got my TV delivered yesterday, picture quality is superb, the Freeview HD tuner works a treat, and everything looks great.

Hooked up my PC to the screen via HDMI and gaming at 1080P 60Hz no fuss, no input lag I can notice, no burring at all, had a few games of Titanfall and all was good.

The remote is a bit meh, the buttons don't feel very nice to press, and it's layout isn't very obvious, but it serves its purpose.

The sound however is very very lacking, no bass at all, and as the speakers are on the back of the TV the audio is even weaker, so if you do go for this TV even a basic soundbar will be a VAST improvement over the built in speakers.

Aw sod it. I don't REALLY need a new telly but the World Cup is coming up so I've decided to take the plunge lol. I was originally planning on getting the Polaroid one from Asda but missed out but the 5 year guarantee makes the few quid extra worth it I reckon!

As I work for the coop I bought the equivalent Digihome branded version of the same tv. I cost me as an employee just £280. So I consider it as a stop-gap before I purchase a 4k when the prices drop to more sensible levels.

Got mine delivered on Friday and it's fantastic. Coincided with me getting Mario Kart 8 in the post and England Vs Peru which I watched on ITV1 HD. I was a bit wary of whether it would fare okay with football or not but it really isn't a problem, no ghosting or motion blur at all.

The only minor problem with it is that the corners of the screen are a little darker than the rest of the screen but this is a VERY common problem with LCD TVs, even the expensive ones, but it's certainly not a dealbreaker. You don't really notice it unless the whole screen is white.

Very happy with it, worth every penny. It's like having a cinema in my room lol oO X)

So very tempted to get this, anyone got any pictures? wondering if it will look good on my wall

Awaiting my delivery

Is this edge let and the Polaroid one rear lit..?

better than that rot buzzduraband posted. he deals make me feel sick.

bought the last one in tesco norwich, picture quality is really good, watched womens tennis final in both sd and hd and its crystal clear, no blur or shadowing.

sound isnt great so on the hunt for a soundbar, any recommendations?

I decided to set my old 42" toshiba back up and run them side-by-side (see video below). I am really impressed with the ISIS/Polaroid for the price, and much prefer the image displayed.

youtu.be/EJC…X0I

There is one thing that bugs me about it though; when panning sideways, left to right or whatever, it just makes me feel somewhat sick. Something about that doesn't feel quite so smooth, like on the Xbox One or 360, quickly swiping the dashboard left to right, it feels likes there's a judder that just wasn't effecting me on the Toshiba. I can't really pick it out though on video. I've filmed both the ISIS and Toshiba in this manner close-up, and can see the issue on the Toshiba as well - but that doesn't make me want to throw up.

Besides this, I love the ISIS/Polaroid for the price. Has anyone tried Film Mode on/off, I've tried it both ways but doesn't seem to make much of a difference?

yes it has vga

Why would the ISIS concentrate their energies on selling off 50" TVs? To show the world their systematic execution of the Iraqi armed forces?

For that reason I, (unlike Tony Blair) have to abstain from this vote and offer no heat!

Just brought this tv amazed how clear pic is . Running an xbox one on 1080p the picture quility was just as good as major brands such 10/ 10 top value for money
