Isle of Jura Superstition
A union of two Jura malt whisky styles: one bold, strong and peated, the other warm and delicate. Superstition is a unique whisky created from the marriage of traditional Islay style peated barley and a selection of aged malts.

Thanks op, heated.
On a school night!
I'm still a beginner to whisky but I can tell this is a good drink. However, it also shows how decent the Teachers whisky was that I was drinking before. I assumed the hike in price would mean a great hike in quality as well but I have to say, Teachers is in many respects just as nice as this, shares similar tasting notes and is quite a lot cheaper.
Haha I was gonna say... :P
If you want a top blend, try Black Bottle - and keep it away from the fridge!
Thanks for the fridge advice - but I do prefer it cold. Am I losing some of the taste by doing that?
Used to keep my Rum in the fridge too. Am I comitting spirit sin number one or something?
There are some whiskies good for the fridge, but they are generally the lesser available grain whiskies or grain based blends like Snow Grouse, Johnnie Walker Gold label.
Single malts often improve when warmed (in the hand not the oven).
Personally I'm not a fan of Jura Origin or Superstition. Elixir is okay and I wouldn't mind trying the Prophecy, Duraichs etc but they're way over priced. £22 is the value of Superstition/Origin, the artificial inflation on the RRP has a knock on effect through the range unfortunately.
I picked up a couple of bottles of Black Bottle years ago from Morrisons near Fort William, expecting something completely mediocre as it was only something like 11 quid a bottle at the time...How wrong I was...Lovely stuff.
