Sorry all - have just realised that the BLACK is sold DIRECT from Amazon. But the other colours appear to be Marketplace (still free delivery though). Just thought i'd point out for you to make better buying choices.

Sorry but I have had one of these and I must say they are very poor.

This looks like one of the models sold by Comet under their Proline brand. My daughter bought a set for £14.99 last week.

We thought that the performance was surprisingly good given their size and price. Most importantly for my daughter they are very portable. I can't remember for sure but I think they charged whilst playing.

In what way would you say they are poor?

I'm not expecting amazing loud sound from these for the price, but are they good enough for general listening to your music around the house, while on holiday etc?
It's a very cheap prices and the reviews look ok.

It's always a case of you get what you pay for, but are they at least good for the price?

does'nt take an ipod touch 4th generation unfortunatly otherwise would have swooped:(

Says it takes (quote) TOUCH 1ST/2ND/3RD/4TH GEN

Got one of these made by Proline, it came free with 4th gen Ipod touch from Comet, it was advertised as a travel unit, can also be plugged into the mains, cable supplied, although i speak of the one from Comet which looks identical to this one i was suprised by the performance, has good bass and clear, although some tunes lack clarity, however as it is was advertised as a travel unit i think it is good for the price.

The more expensive ones from Comet / Amazon etc that look the same (Proline) charge the pod. I think these ones do not charge. They just play the sounds.

Hi I brought one as a stocking filler for my wife about a year ago. Can't remember where from now but it was about the same price. It sounded very tinny and crackly, and one of the speakers kept breaking up. She never used it after day one. It was the same shape design etc, but maybe they have improved on them given mine was over a year ago. If the reviews are good then I would go with them as they refer hopefully to a more recent product.

Not much more than some places charge for a charger though and it'll make the alarm function on your ipood that bit harder to sleep through!
