Anyone find cooking roasts potato's with this stuff makes them go all dry?

health benefits of rapeseed

be careful, this deal if for heavily refined oil, it won't smell of rapeseed, most of its good properties have been destroyed.

See here for the dangers:

For the benefits it would have to be cold pressed, (virgin) rapeseed oil.

Wow who would have thought Oil could be so interesting thanks HUKD gang, and nice offer initially, but having read the links would rather not but thanks

Frylight is best for health.

Cold pressed coconut oil is good. Just a little expensive

Cheap enough but maybe it just me that feels the urge to vote cold every time I see "ITS BACK" in the title.

How can I find out if this is okay for my car?

Haha. Asian household. Feeling the vibe here

If your looking for healthy oil try carotino made with unrefined palm oil blended with canola.

Used nothing but olive for the last 20 years, both virgin and refined. As a chemist, I have analysed both types and there is no significant difference; main thing is removal of the acids (the waxy solid that forms when cold).

'Best for health' your health or an engine's health? Have you tried frying with Castrol GTX? Taking the term 'petrol head' a bit too far!

Wow.....thanks for the link

Milk float

I'm laughing so much at this!!!!

Well if its a milk float, buy some solar panels lol

its amazing how many people out there think stuff is healthy but it's the exact opposite.

I use ktc refined coconut oil, its cold pressed but been refined, its not as good as virgin unrefined coconut oil but its 10% of the price.

Amazon and Asian cash and carry's sell it and it is genuinely the healthiest cooking oil on the planet apart from the unrefined stuff.

butter is healthier than vegetable oil but health morons have drummed so many myths into the media that nobody apart from serious health fanatics who do their own research know the truth, even most personal trainers don't have a clue as the textbooks they learn from are so outdated and full of many myths

Just be careful of articles like this. If it doesn't do its own experimentation and doesn't cite others', it's not science; it's a collection of anecdotes.

People really love this stuff and I'll undoubtedly be heckled for being in big cooking oil's pocket, but if you're going to make a scientific argument, you need to follow the established scientific methods.

Was on call - Only passing time while waiting for out of hours support to get back to me so read the link and am now looking at coconut oil prices and how too get rid of my half empty bottle of veggie oil!

Voted cold - against the tidal wave of lipsticks - simply for the use of IT'S BACK!!! in the title.

Maybe a useful attention grabber for describing the return of the 1918 Spanish Flu variant to Europe, or the return of the News Of The Screws 'newspaper'...but cooking oil? REALLY?
