You might remember awhile ago I posted a deal to get £12.50 credit for Rakuten. This didn't last very long though as within a day they pulled the promotion and took away everyone's films/credit from the promotion.
It turns out you can actually still do it, although it's a little bit more effort now. You can only apply for a code every 48 hours so you'll need 5 different email addresses to get the full ammount immediately, and you can't re-use email addresses or Rakuten accounts you used last time.

In summary again:
Go to this site
Enter details and use a code (87111 was the one from my pack)
Receive email and enter code here (You'll need to create a new account if you did this last time)
Repeat up to 4 more times with a different email address each time

Credit to @jamie015 for letting me know it still works. This will be perfect for anyone looking for a film to watch over Christmas, and hopefully the staff at Rakuten have gone home for the holidays so they won't take down the promotion quite so quickly this time, lol.
Hopefully if people don't go overboard they might not pull it at all, bear in mind that judging by last time they could remove points/films from your account at any time so I'd recommend only adding as many points as you need and watching the films as soon as you can.

Merry Christmas everyone

Edit: Apparently last time Rakuten got a bit overzealous when removing content/credit from this promotion, and took some people's pre-existing films or credit. While this didn't happen to me I'd recommend if you're going to do this just create a new account, then they can't remove anything other than what you've just added.
Community Updates
See warnings below - if this works, Rakuten will simply remove the credits from your account and any existing credit. It's worse than not working - it actually costs you your existing credits!
To avoid what @Newbold is saying in the other additional info, simply use a new account and there is nothing to lose. Given that all Rakuten staff are probably away for Christmas and that this deal hasn't got that hot, I don't think Rakuten will be rushing to remove the points.

@theeighthday thanks for crediting me and heat added! This will also stack with my Wuntu deal for 250SP worth £2.50, so potential £15 of points!

More than likely yes they will, but if you've already watched it they can't take that away from you. That's why I advised to just use it when you want to watch a film, you probably won't get to keep it but just look at it as a free rental

Whole idea is to do it now, watch the film while Rakuten staff are away for Christmas, then when they take the film away it will be too late.
The deal never expired. You need to buy the popcorn to get the codes and they request you send photos of the packs and receipts to actually claim the codes. Don't do that and they just take the movies and credit from your account. Anyone who tries doing it without buying the promotional packs is just screwing over actual customers - you won't get anything for free and you just make it harder for those who have actually paid. Cold from me.

You don't need to send any proof, they stopped that requirement once all the fake entries from the previous deal died down. I know as I did it quite a while ago and 'bought' a TV series which is still available to me

True they never actually removed the promotion, they simply restricted it a little. I've used it quite a few times recently though and never had to send any proof of purchase. None of my content across multiple accounts has been removed, although I'm sure it will be if they notice a sudden spike in activity. It looks like people aren't really interested though this time so that might not be an issue, lol.

It’s not though; the idea is to purchase a digital movie using credit. The last time this happened they removed more than the credit given from some accounts having accumulated them having spent real money. I lost a movie (The only movie) I paid for also so was really quite simple to walk away and never use the service again.

Had they of been open about it and given a timed removal then fair enough but they literally went into peoples accounts stealing the credits back making a ton of mistakes along the way

Use a fresh account. Last time it was removed but because it is Christmas the idea is that there will be no staff to remove it.

Sorry to hear you lost other content from your account, I didn't realise that actually happened last time. Like you say it sounds like they just stormed in and removed whatever content they thought was appropriate, I must've been lucky then as they only removed the content I'd added through the promotion.

As Jamie just said though if you use a new account (which you'd have to anyway if you already did the promotion last time) at least they can't take away anything other that whatever you've obtained from this promotion.
Bought JP Fallen Kingdom and Prometheus UHD. Cheers op.

Yeah that's a shame, hopefully the website's just down for the moment but I'll expire the deal for now.

Ah well it was good while it lasted, hopefully a few people got to watch some films for free. I know I certainly did, I'm just disappointed it didn't last until Venom was added. I've just had a look and they haven't taken away any content from my accounts yet either.
