Free student card? Isn't the card an extra £12 a year? Shouldn't this be made clear in the post?

Qualify for NUS... I would be interested to know if there's any other courses available to do the same. Great post!

And as somebody so correctly posted on the other thread, apart from having to pay £12 pa for the NUS extra card:

You cannot get Amazon prime discounted with it, you cannot get a student rail card, this is all rubbish. It is for small discounts at certain stores and that is about it.

what do u put down when applying for nus card as place of study?

But on the the up side I will be able to write a children's story about a axe murderer.

I've purchased this, and used the voucher, how do i purchase an NUS card? any help appreciated :-)

Yay thanks IamMT because I was a bit confused but I've done it now . WOOP WOOP . No one tempted to actually write a children's book? lol

I did this last time and now have my NUS card.

I'm also almost finished my first childrens novel.

Its about a young wizard and his adventures at wizard school. (I'm thinking of calling it Larry Potter).

Obviously I went for storyline unlike anything that has gone before - theres nothing worse than plagiarism....

I had an ISIC card when I visited Egypt in 2013 and it gave me half price entry into all the attractions I visited. ISIC can be added onto your NUS card and is great when traveling. If you have never used Uber before you can enter code NUS20 and get £20 towards your first ride. Code has worked for me and all my friends and you don't have to have an NUS card to get the code.

Sorry that Uber code is NUSEXTRA , not NUS20

I've seen places today offering 20% off for students - can you use this card in examples like this? The shop I saw the advert in is Topshop, but for a limited time only!

Got one 3 or 4 months ago when it was on here for just under a tenner if I remember
Handy for some Amazon purchases, Brantano instore discounts , a number of restaurants etc.
Often get a 2nd look when cashiers check my "student" card and see a pic of a middle aged bearded man :-)

student council tax rates are free....

Don't forget the NUS card needs to be renewed every year. Well worth it though as I saved loads when I bought an iMac.

I bought this course back in March and the voucher never appeared. I contacted them several times via phone and email and they were completely unable or unwilling to sort out the problem. The deal has now Expired and i never received my voucher. So i have now tried again and will demand by money back from the previous cock up. My only experience of groupon has been very poor with frequent emails asking me to let them know if the problem has been solved ? Shouldn't they know that ! So my advise is dont buy anything from them if you can get it elsewhere for a similar amount, dont buy anything thats due to expire within a few weeks and dont expect any problems to be dealt with at all. Just hope its not going to take legal action to get a refund oO

You can use it for half price spotify.

Did anyone find out if this is recurring? Next year I don't fancy getting hit by a £350 automatic renewal

No renewal. The payment is for life access.

Hmmm.... Can we use the NUS to get student prices at gyms?

OP .. this Code u mentioned above: "£11.20 with Groupon code 'TREAT20'!!!" NOT work again ..... :-(
Hahahaha .. does anyone have a 'Current' working Code please ..... thanx. :-)

If you want to impress the ladies, select Oxford University - as your place of education gets printed on the card, and they don't bother checking you are a "genuine" student

does this still work?
