Be careful to make sure they can do your car before buying voucher otherwise you will waste your money. I have a basic four year old Hyundai but ATS couldn't recharge it because it is one of many cars that have a newer aircon system that they don't have the equipment for. ATS are a struggling out of date business that are struggling to keep going and won't / can't invest to modernise.
I thought that legally they had to check for leaks before doing a refill? It is part of the process and the installer has to certify that the system is fit to be recharged.......

Alternatively keep it on all the time. Cool in summer, windows not fogged up during winter

Just had my car done there, top job in Hull depot.
Don't bother with the antibacterial treatment. Buy the spray from eurocarparts and DIY ( lasts for more than one treatment )

I have used groupon and ats last year. Great service.
I have near me, like few mins drive but last post put me off about people mentioning how bad they were but this post seems like the opposite as long as your car qualifies
Good deal, bought.
Spent the last half hour on the phone alternating between two branches and have yet to get anyone to answer the bloody phone.
Edit - At last! Booked in.

How easy is it to refill yourself?
Not worthy the hassle. The cheaper refill kit costs almost the same as the service

Just like any garage. Watch them work like a hawk. Ensure everything is complete before leaving.

Ask for proof. In this case print out of gas expelled into your system.

Great deal.

As pointed out by others, this is only for older cars which use R134a aircon gas only.

It is not for newer cars which use the newer much more expensive R1234 aircon gas.

To be fair it's not just ATS who don't do the new type of gas. Kwikfit don't do it either and nor did the first 2 independent aircon rechargers I tried.

Didn't realise that. I had to go back to the main dealer who was very expensive. If anyone finds a deal for newer aircon cars then that would be a really hot deal (or cool?).

Yep, my main dealer quoted me £200

I ended up paying about £120 to an indy recharger.

Yes it is. @paul.williamsA4v must have taken his to a dodgy one. They run the checks before even starting to refill
Lovely, been meaning to get mine sorted for summer, although typically after reading this I called the local ATS who said my car could be either one, but they did say they can do both, just not at all centres... So think I'll take the chance and grab it anyway and see what shakes out. Cheers to the OP for the find!
Nice.just seen this at the right time & saved a few £'s
perfect! just what ive been searching for over the last couple weeks. booked in with kwikfit on friday which i can now cancel.
i used this same deal a coupel years ago for my car, the reil didnt work as they diagnosed my ac pump wasnt working. had that replaced and refilled elswhere butt now its not working again, hopefully just needs a regas.
I’ve used these many times when this deal pops up. I saw and bought this 2 days ago went in today. They told me my aircon wasn’t working after emptying and refilling my system. They took out 100g and refilled 500g even replacing the oil. He then gave me back the voucher told me to get a refund through groupon and suggested a local garage that get great reviews (I checked it myself) to take it too if we want to get it sorted. We went home i checked the fuses and one had blown. Can’t fault them personally. I’m sure most garages would have checked & done all they could to take my money and charged me for a “repair” where they plugged it in did what they was supposed to and then sent me away free of charge.
Went today to get my car done, within 10 minutes I was brought through where he showed me that the refrigerant was actually fine (the air con on my car probably just sucks like the rest of it) and was sent away free of charge in the knowledge that everything was fine. I have no doubt that certain other places would have gladly taken my money and either replaced it anyway when there was no need or just left it as it was, top marks for them!
Noticed my aircon was ruining warm but luckily got it sorted under warranty r1234 gas my condenser was punctured why put the bloody thing at the front of the car ready for stones to puncture it,you don’t realise how much you miss it when it doesn’t work

Bought this deal however when I've rang my local Ats, their air con machine is broken! Said they will be either getting it fixed or a new one next week... Based on some of the comments I might just get a refund

I don't think there been any negative comments on this post regarding ATS. why not just go to another branch or wait if that's an option?
A quick update after having mine done this morning in Cardiff, it was done on time and I now have it working as it should. Can't fault it!
Also it seems mine is the other aircon - but spoken to ATS and they'll do both, its just a case of not every ATS can do them both.... Its going in today at 2pm, if there is any issue I'll report back!
Done this Yesterday all ok cold aircon, disappointed this morning back to blowing warm air , visited them they said you have a leak when fixed they will recharge.

Asked for a refund the guy said no as the leak is too small !

Aren't they supposed to check pressure leak before recharge ?
Thank you for this. I've booked mine.

I'd been on the lookout for one of these offers. My air conditioning hasn't been working for 3 summers now but just kept putting off having it sorted.

Heat added.

Mines been done, was the newer AC, no issues and now my car is lovely and chilly
I've never had to have my Aircon refilled, just works. Am I missing something?
Had it done a few times via groupon/ATS on a 2006 ford focus and it always went well

Had it done last year on a 2015 civic and any difference was negligible. Spoke to them a day later and they said it had definitely been done and there was nothing they could do.

Spoke to Honda as the car was in for a final warranty fix before it ended and they checked over the air con and no issues. Offered to fill it up for half price on their usual price (about £30) and the difference was unreal.

Made me wonder if they had even done anything.

Tried this last year, phoned up on Friday and booked it in for the Monday at Bury St Edmunds branch. Got there and was told there was no one working that day with an air con certificate and they were unsure why they booked me in. Waste of time and have never visited an ATS again or will do.

I have a 2016 i10 - am I correct in saying mine also wouldn’t be applicable to this deal?

Don't bother with eurocarparts just buy a spray can from any store, activate it and let the air con do its job. Will last for year or two anyway
