Just no.
They work the same, so unless Bluetooth is super important to you the £69.99 version might be a better deal for some people.

Except they aren't, these are shallower so fit a hell of a lot better into spotlights/fittings as well as other bulbs and it was a major gripe of gen 1 owners the old models also don't have a full colour spectrum as some of the colours don't show properly, these are brighter and more responsive and generally all round better.

For the sake of a hub which often sell on eBay for about £20-30 it's well worth the small increase in cost if you're willing to spend £60-80 on bulbes you might as well go to the new model.
Don’t be mistaken into thinking the offer for the three GU10s with bridge at £69.99 is a better deal than these at £79.99 without the bridge. The cheaper deal is for the older generation bulbs that are much larger than the new ones and don’t perform quite so well. They’re so big that they’re unlikely to fit into your existing light fitting without significant modification. I’m ignoring the bluetooth functionality with the new bulbs as the bridge is a better solution, but the size is the killer blow.

I’ve recently swapped out 7 GU10s in my kitchen for white ambience and 3 GU10s for colours (these latest gem ones) in our snug, bringing my total number of Hue bulbs to 18. Even on discounted prices they’re very expensive but they are of exceptional quality and the routines you can create are superb in conjunction with Alexa/Google.
I'm struggling to understand that even at £80, are these really worth it for 3 GU10's?
You can only get one pack of 3 so not a very good deal for someone who wants more than 3 bulbs.

Heheh. Indeed, these bulbs are very expensive. But, worth it or not, separately, these 3 bulbs would set you back £145.00. So, still a good deal for those in the market for them.
As an aside to my earlier comments, I was amazed at how much my previous LED lights were flickering without knowing it. I only discovered it when I recorded a slow mo video of my dog in the kitchen one night. When played back the video was unwatchable because the LEDs were flashing like crazy. These Philips Hue bulbs don’t flicker at all, which might be useful information to anyone who suffers from eye strain/migraine/epilepsy etc.

But they don't look or fit the same.
Some people say it's the size that's the only difference between that and the previous one (no bluetooth).

Some other people says it's more than that...

Who is right? As if you sell the bridge for £25, the 16 mi colour GU10 is for only £15 if you buy the £69 package...
Hot but they're going to have to be a lot cheaper than that to prise me away from my 25p Wickes ones!

Can you use the Hue app to control? Are they as bright as hue? Cheers.
Why is this restricted to 1 pack? I need 6 bulbs. Seems ludicrous to put this restriction on.

I got stung by this last time. Thought I’d ordered two packs and only one set was delivered. You can just order again, and again, and again, apparently. (People did last time)

You are correct! I just tried it and ordered 2x lots, in 2 separate orders. Happy days!

How much each bulb? £15? If yes, that’s the same price as this hue one if you sell the bridge...

Yes and Yes. I actually prefer them over the hue bulbs I have. Wish I'd known about them before, would have saved a fortune.

Exactly why I suggested them, from my initial use they are exactly the same quality as the Hue bulbs. There is also a community of 1700 people here that seem rather happy with them.

They are also a member of the Zigbee aliance: zigbeealliance.org/mem…td/

I can't see any bad reviews for Gledopto products on Amazon (of course they could be manipulated reviews).

We are all adults, I am sure we can all decide on if its worth the "risk".

I don't know why you have to be so aggressive about it?
