Is this compatible with Samsung Galaxy phones? many thanks
I was in the 'what's the point of smartwatches' camp until when this offer was on before Christmas. Got myself one and then one for my brother as I was stuck for ideas for his Christmas present. We're both converts to it now.

Never managed such dizzy battery life as in the blurb the OP has posted but regularly get 5+ days. I use misfit as a step counter, and combined with the Bounts integration and the fact my job involves a lot of walking, I'm quickly building up points on that system which convert into vouchers.

It should be. It works both with iOS and Android and uses Bluetooth LE so unless Samsung have done something hideous to their bluetooth stack it should be fine.

I'm using it with a Xiaomi Note 2.

Same here, bought one as a present, which turned into one for myself as I was so impressed and now the recipient of my gifted watch has brought one for his sister. I'm tempted to buy another as a present to store up and one as a back up, just in case I smash my one up.

As for the battery life, I was getting 4-5 days until the most recent update when it shot up. I've been using the watch apps a lot less, which may help but it's still impressive. The best app I've found so far is Uber, ordering a taxi from your watch makes you feel like Michael Knight - almost.
Thanks for that - I was on the same opinion as your were but struggling for birthday ideas and at this price this may be an option!

I thought I was just going to be throwing £50 away but I had a voucher so risked it. I can't believe how much I use it.
And yes, I'm of the generation that grew up with wristwatches so the massive effort of tilting my wrist to see the time is totally normal to me
Since getting this instead of missing calls and texts because I didn't hear them, I've put my phone on silent and now I never miss a notification. I've also stopped carry my phone around the house with me, as the bluetooth range is really impressive.
I try my best to ignore messages and phone calls lol, not for me but have some heat anyway.
Does it need the phone to be paired at all times to work? Very tempted to buy this.

Some functions and apps (the time, step counter etc.) will still work but it'll need the phone for any apps that require the net.

It still works as a watch. And for example things like misfit will still record steps etc without the phone being there. But obviously no notifications.

Thought that would be the case, thanks!
Nice find. Just spotted Argos have reduced it as well.

Good spot. That may be why Amazon have reduced their prices too. Will add that to the description.
Also I believe Argos are doing Free £10 voucher when you spend £100 or more or Free £5 voucher when you spend £50 or more.
Is it possible to change the strap on this? I saw the customer photos on someone on Amazon who seems to have replaced it with a steel bracelet, but is this official?
Bought one for this price before Xmas, well worth the money. Find it so natural to receive notifications on my wrist now. Incidentally, I dropped mine while taking it off yesterday and it landed face down on a metal chair leg with a sickening thud. No damage though which may suggest the screen is quite resilient.

That bounts looks quite interesting.
Might want to post about it if it not already on here.
Google rewards for walking.
Tempted to get one but just bought a new watch last month and if the other half finds out then I'm done for

Besides I use my Fitbit HR to track my activity as it also integrates with the Bount app
10% Quidco in store at Argos.... don't forget to activate it though....
I've been a day one pebble owner and love it.

But it should be pointed out that the Pebble original and Pebble steel both suffer from a serious manufacturing fault.

Up till now Pebble have been replacing free of charge but rumour is they have recently stopped that generous offer. (Fyi I'm on my 4th Pebble and longest without an issue has been 8 months)

For this price I'd say it's still a no brainier though.
I'm a complete novice about smartwatches but from what I have read, this doesn't do voice recognition, does it? Cheers

you can replace the straps on them fairly easily.
I've upgraded to an LG G Watch R now, but this pebble goes down as one of my favourite gadgets of all time. The first proper smartwatch. Shame their newer ones seems a bit naff and dated, but this little puppy was class. Such a good watch even just for running to display pace time and distance with runkeeper

No voice recognition but at this price no one's complaining.
Arrrrrrgh! I've always fancied trying a smartwatch but never actual got one! This is tempting!
whats the difference from this one and the other pebble watch posted at £100? anyone know
"It's back!"... did it ever go away?

It only uses LE on IOS, android is regular Bluetooth.

I got my steel replaced a few weeks ago with no issues but I've seen people getting refused recently, also Pebble are cutting 25% of their staff, it's not looking good.

Still great devices though, I love mine.

It is an easy diy fix though if you're out of warranty.

Otherwise you can rely on the retailer to refund or replace.

Sad
Looking at bounts it would appear that you would have to walk 450 miles for a £1 tesco voucher - and it would take six months to do it.

The £100 one (pebble time) is colour screen (and screen is supposed to be tougher? ), has microphone so can send text replies (but not answer calls) that you dictate rather than just canned (preset up) ones and some other voice control functions, plus has better health/fitness integration and function. I have original Pebble and am very please with it. Was tempted by the Pebble Time offer for the voice control/texting but ultimately couldn't justify spending another £100 just for that (will wait to see what deals come around in 6 months or so on Android Wear watches).

To the person asking about whether it works with Samsung Galaxy phones I am using Galaxy S4 and no issues. Bluetooth range is about 20 -25 feet (plenty enough to leave phone in kitchen and move around house and not miss notifications). I would recommend this as a first Smartwatch especially with Android phone (and to be honest I think it's about the best with iPhone despite some limitations compared to Android without spending silly money)
There's something about the use of "it's back!" that really grinds my gears!
