First Post - Home Bargains have had these for a while but I've not seen them on here.

Although HDMI is probably overtaking these types of cables, they are still top quality for people without HDMI equipment. They have the Gold, Silver and Bronze versions of these in the Morley store, the packaging seems to indicate that Bronze would be the cheaper version and Gold the most expensice. Presumably that translates quality wise as well. RRP £19.99 or more originally, seem to be still holding their value online, a bargain if you're looking for this type of thing.

Full Specs below, they also had some Xbox to Scart & Playstation to Scart cables as well, all by Ixos, for the same price.

Picked up one of these from Loughborough a few weeks ago - very noticeable improvement on signal quality from SKY+ box to TV over Scart-Scart connection.

Did you get a colour signal from your Sky+ box to your TV via S-Video (I only got black and white)?

Wondered if it was a problem with my Sky+ box, which is pretty old.

I thought that a Scart-Scart connection would use RGB in this case and therefore should give a better picture than S-Video?

You might need to check your TV settings menus - if you have two scarts only only of them sometimes accepts an S-Video signal, and you may need to switch it on.

My new TV is full HD and only has one scart socket but there doesn't seem to be any options for it on the TV's menu's. Tinkered with the Sky+ settings as well but no luck.

I assumed S-Video would be a step up from Scart, am I wrong?

Probably needs an expert on the subject. Maybe I was using a poor Scart, but he there was always a fuzziness to the dark colours. Switched to the IXOS cable and everything became rock solid. Worth £1.49 for me.
