Thanks OP. OP, it might be worth noting that all Jabra Solemate products are on sale:

Also, if you purchase the Solemate (not the mini), there is a bundle offer where you also get the 'soles' free.

Does this compare to the bose Bluetooth mini speaker?

No it does not.

But you can get better than the bose soundlink mini For lesser money. its a nice speaker i listen to it often at work as a friend has it. The bose is over emphasising bass. If you like over emphasised bass then go for the bose soundlink mini. otherwise the Denon Envaya Mini can be got for lesser money and with nfc APTX low latency protocols.

I don't mean the big one the Denon Envaya, that's costlier and lower quality audio. I mean the Denon Envaya Mini which is cheaper and better. don't buy from amazon uk as it's cheaper on amazon.de it comes to about 83£ delivered to the UK from amazon.de and 99£ from Amazon.co.uk

If you don't want portable then just but any old HiFi speakers with Good reviews but without any features and then connect a Pure Jongo A2 adapter (£25 on sales) to get both wifi and bluetooth (capable of multi room audio scalable set up) for a smashing quality audio set up. Just letting you onto a gem what bums on what HiFi magazine awards won't tell you. The awards usually go to costlier products like sonos etc that I feel give samples to those jokers. I have seven of the A2 adapters (and Pure Jongo S3) and have paired them with several Philips Fidelio AW series speakers for both bluetooth and wifi multi room synced audio which sound great and my 7 A2 adapters cost me less than 1 Sonos speaker that websites like What HiFi etc promote. The philips fidelio AW series (again cheaper and better) are better quality audio and their defects are negated by pairing them with the Pure Jongo series A2 adapters if you want to gradually build a multi room sync setup. If you just want a pain bluetooth speaker then there are many. Listen in shops etc with your own music before making a decision and don't just go by the advertisements peddled as awards by HiFi websites.
If you just want a loud cheap decent quality bluetooth portable speaker then think of HMDX JAMZ P240 open box models sold for about £18 which if you buy two then they can pair wirelessly via bluetooth and work as stereo speakers or stand alone as well. I can vouch for that one as well as I have two of them as well. But they are not bose soundlink mini quality as they only cost me £18 each for open box models from tesco ebay. very portable and good value for money.

have reviewed some cheap waterproof bluetooth bathroom speakers long while back on my youtube channel. link to my Chanel is on my hukd profile if you are interested.

Have also bought another beefier waterproof speaker from another brand and will review it in a few days if I get the time. Can't comment presently add haven't used it even though bought it weeks ago. Bought too many things and didn't have time to test yet.

I paid 25£ each of my 7 for my Pure Jongo A2 and £50 from eBay for my Pure Jongo S3 which using bluetooth Caskeid feature form a sort of bluetooth wifi mesh linking and sane music can be sent to all speakers or only some. Audio from any app can be sent to any speakers via wifi or bluetooth. Other gadgets can individually link to any speaker. I use the pre connect app only for set up. I don't use their app for music streaming £5 a month for unlimited streaming. I prefer my £10 a month unlimited music plus downloads plus unlimited devices of my deezer premium streaming. I also had google music but cancelled it a few weeks ago. Blinkbox is awesome for free plus the subscription option is £1 per week. Jango and bloom fm was good too. I also have a £20 a month Tidal music streaming which is 1421 kbps (sort of cd quality streaming unlike 320kbps or lesser kbps of other apps including itunes). Plus Savvn for Indian music streaming. All these stream fine to any of my speakers.

My few Philips Fidelio AW5000 speakers cost me £80 each or there abouts new from amazon on sale. My few Philips AW3000 speakers cost anywhere between 70 to 100£ each from eBay open box. All were like new but one had fault and had to spend 114£ for repair but still worked out cheaper overall. Have sony bluetooth BM10 NFC receiver conected to one of the speakers for ease of use which is awesome too. Having listened to several systems including my cousins £7000 system I can't see how anyone can claim sonos systems are better either music wise or ease of use. Initial set up in move wasnt hard just a bit more leg work to get better system for lesser. My system is presently consisting of 13 bluetooth and wifi connected music systems.

forgot to mention that my philips fidelio AW series speakers are on their own upnp streamers without the need for Jongo adapters that I also have. They can independently send different songs to different speakers wirelessly via wifi and sound awesome.
