Please don't vote cold if you don't like it or don't know what it is. Thanks

Baklava is expensive stuff, is a rich, sweet pastry made of layers of filo pastry filled with chopped nuts and sweetened with syrup or honey. It is characteristic of the cuisines of the former Ottoman Empire, but is also found in Central and Southwest Asia.

The original price was also a steal at £1.99, but this is an absolute bargain, normally this would cost you between £5 -£10 in specialist shops.

If you've never tried it and you like sweet stuff . cant go wrong for 99p

Thanks for posting. I’ve added the merchant to the title.
Here’s a ‘Help’ link which gives tips and advice on thread posting.

yummy...wish my aldi stocked this, pay a fortune buying this, heat added

thanks op

I don't like it nor know what on earth this is...cold from me.

Hot. I like the baklava from one of the specialist shops where it is home made , very sweet but nice and similar to rusk biscuits and about a pound for 2 pieces. This sounds good although no description found on the website here on the box size and ingredients. Looks like a decent sized box though.

An what the heck is an 'Aldi' ? Super double cold for me.

thanks just bought some to put on my head for a bank job me and my mates are planning. I'm a bit like the dyslexic devil worshiper who sold his soul to Santa

We love this!!!!

Love this stuff, probably 1000 calories a square inch but no Aldi near me so not to worry!

is it what you put over your head when you rob a bank??

You could do but you might get into a sticky situation.

If you buy some and don't like it, try battering it, deep frying and then dipping in melted chocolate. Deep fried Mars bars are for wimps.

Hot from me. I love this stuff, but not too often because of my rampant middle aged spread.

mmm love this stuff normally paying about £2.50 for tiny box at tesco

Cold.
Thought this was for a balaclava

These are gorgeous, if they taste as nice as ones I've tried before! HOT will be buying some Thursday!

Got some earlier today, love Baklava. I saw it at £1.99 before Xmas and bought one box thinking it would be reduced after and sure enough it was.
Kataifi is lovely too if you ever get the chance to try it.

Ok, no prob.
Voted cold for attempted vote manipulation and lack of sense of humour to Charles W's comments.

That ok?

Half are pistachio half are cashew, they're very sweet for my palate but for 99p a good treat.

Vote manipulation??? These were brought into Aldi for Christmas selling at £2.49. This is a hot deal. 10/10 for your sense of humour OP!!

Lol. like I said; some people just can't be helped !

just eaten a box! And was also in Aldi today saw a lot of Christmas food reduced but not these or I would have been tempted to buy more. They are good , if you like baklava . The baklava Sainsburys sell is really good dripping in honey.

Voted cold.

Just because I can...

They are very yummy. Me and the wife have just waxed a box :-)

Love it, bought some yday, hot from me

Thanks really like the stuff,, will be going to get some tommorow! HOTTTT:p

Thanks OP - heat added, alas no Aldi here in Northern Ireland and my Tescos haven't reduced the Christmas Baklava yet....:(

I paid £2.99 I think before Christmas and it was worth every penny. I'm a bit of a Baklawa freak and even though this was boxed, as opposed to fresh, it was still excellent quality. If I can get it at this price in my Aldi I will buy all stock.

Good way to rot your teeth. Hot for the price though.

Just to add a little balance, I enjoy baklava and I also purchased some of this very brand from Aldi prior to Christmas. However I was very disappointed, this baklava was very bland. I may have just been unlucky, but I wouldn't buy this again even at 99p. I am not voting cold, as it is a bargain.

need to get to Aldi, this is beautiful. my neighbour brings it fresh from her mother and it's that nice we eat a box in less than a couple of hours. Hot!

Yeah like having a few pieces is really gona rot your teeth. Get a grip.

meh this is 99p from the 99p store

The nice baklava is the fresh one, that one is dry and crap. Nothing interesting, good price but not worth it any ways.

Love baklava, will pick some up. Cheers

They swapped some of the items in this one to the white squares (don't know what they're called) so less actual baklava so has put me off

Bought this for 99p the other day and was very disappointed. It's dry and not very sweet or sticky. Also, the box has a huge rim so what looks like a big box is very small. The Costco baklava is far nicer and you get a giant box for £6. I usually like Aldi stuff - their stollen is fantastic - but this is the only item I have ever thought about writing to complain about. I would give this a miss if you like quality baklava, its not worth 99p.

I love this! Heat added thank you
