Jack Daniels 150th anniversary 70cl - £15 @ ASDA instore and online

Refreshed 30th Apr (Posted 28th Apr)
Hello all,

First time poster here so go easy! Just found Jack Daniels 150th Anniversary at ASDA I store and checked it is online too! Bargain at £15......generally £30 elsewhere! Shelves were well stocked so I snapped up three!

A nice whiskey, better than the original, smoother than the Master Distiller range.....but that’s just my opinion!

Cheers!

First timer & straight in with the goodstuff! Welcome!
I suppose it’s all down to personal taste......I’ve had it before, quite enjoyed it.

Thanks for the heat guys! I saw Amazon did sell it at this price but this is the only place to my knowledge that does it at this price now!

Anyhows, cheers.....no matter what your tipple is!

No it isn't, it's horrible. It's probably acceptable mixed with coke and £15 is probably a reasonable price for it but I pity anyone who paid £30 for this harsh, over-strong kerosene. No wonder they are having to discount it so heavily.

70.1% for Elijah Craig Hazmat. Noah’s Mill 57.15%, Pappy Van Winkle 15 year 53.5%. There is no average, just depends on what you like to drink.

To be honest I’m a little TOO used to the higher proofs now, but yeah when you’re enjoying it more than you should, it hits

Might aswell get the turps out and drink that instead
It is a lot better than the old no.7 trash, smoother and much woodier - but it's still below anything above average.
I've tried many Scotch whiskies but I've never tasted Jack Daniels. Can someone who has describe the difference please.
Just got 1 of these from Biggleswade Asda
Thanks for posting
Cheers Bud! Collected 4 bottles

There's going to be very little difference between 37.5% and 43% in perceived "strength".

I'm a Whisky drinker - you'll notice the difference between a 37.5% and say, a cask strength whisky at 50%.

In any case, I've never once considered the ABV of a spirit as a factor in deciding whether to buy (or drink it). Different for beer, as you don't want to peak too early if you're having a sesh

The wife is saying I always peak too soon, so will remember that.
I thought you buy 3 for 15£....

Jack Daniels Honey flavour goes down well. The rest are like a Badgers ass if you're used to real Whisky.
I guess I like badgers bottom......but a £15 saving is a £15 saving........

Could I add Jack Honey is like a porcine intestine? Actually I like that too!

Cheers!
