Jack Daniel's Single Barrel is a super premium Tennessee whiskey, finely crafted from a single barrel at the Jack Daniel Distillery.

Full-bodied with notes of vanilla, toasted oak and caramel, Jack Daniel's Single Barrel has an intense flavour profile and a long rich finish. Each barrel imparts its unique character to the whiskey, and as a consequence there may be slight variations across bottles that have originated from different barrels.

Jack Daniel's Single Barrel Tennessee Whiskey comes from a single barrel which has been individually hand-selected for its unique taste and smooth and aromatic by the Jack Daniel's Master Distiller and his team of Master Tasters. Once chosen, the whiskey is bottled a single barrel at a time, never mixed with whiskey from other barrels.
The barrels chosen for Single Barrel come from the uppermost floors of the barrelhouses that dot the hills surrounding the Jack Daniel Distillery. The extremes in temperature these floors experience during the year result in barrels which yield whiskey of unusually bold, robust flavour.

Because each individual barrel imparts its unique flavour to the whiskey, every bottle is hand-labelled and marked with the number of that barrel, its rick and the bottling date.

To fully enjoy its rich and flavourful character, Jack Daniel's Single Barrel is best enjoyed neat, or on ice.

70cl bottle, 28 serves in every bottle (25ml per serve).

Any recommend this? How does it compare to Buffalo trace or Woodford …Any recommend this? How does it compare to Buffalo trace or Woodford reserve?

One bottle of single barrel will be somewhat different in content to another from a different barrel so saying it is better than xx brand undermines the fact that one bottle could be better or worse than another if from different barrels. But.... they do tend to essentially cherry-pick the best of the best factors wood etc for single barrel and put the rest into the regular expressions. So it’ll always be good quality really, and Woodford Reserve (standard) and Buffalo Trace are not single barrel expressions so you would expect this to be better - in my experience, this is true, it’s a nice drop and this is a great price.

Taste-wise comparison, JD is a sour mash whiskey and the other two are Kentucky Bourbon whiskey so its not a case of comparing like for like. Therefore whether you like it or not may ultimately depend if you like one style more than another not which is better, if that makes sense.

I’ll be buying at this price, thanks OP!

I find this very smooth so can drink without a mixer. Otherwise I prefer Jim Beam double oak over std JD.

Its definitely a bit stronger.
Woodford Reserve is down to £20 in Asda too which is a bargain.
Gentleman Jack is £20 so I got a bottle of that as I haven't tried it for a while.
