If the Focus deal posted earlier doesn't appeal, how about a Jag?

Drive the Deal have a good discount on the XE and XF models, around 22% discount available across the range. Sadly not available on the F Type!

I have just ordered a £37500 XF for £29200. Factory order, September delivery.

I think that the usual finance options are available (I'm doing a cash deal as I'm old fashioned and have saved up!).

They told me its a limited offer, both in time and number of cars available, and it is through a Jaguar dealer based in the South of England.

Seems to be across the range, so whatever spec you want. Have a play on the website!

How's this compare to the early £299 PCP OR PCH deals?

Is this one of the deals that depends on taking finance?

Depends on how much you think it will be worth in 2 years after sales costs - if you think more than £22k this is better - if not go with the lease.

Auto trader has 65 and 15 plates for XF at £22k so if you are low mileage the lease is definitely better. In my opinion.

Even some of the 4 year lease options look favourable compared to those barley used prices, looking at the new shape 2014 models with less than 25,000 miles on them dealer prices are coming in at less than £17,000. So that's a 12,000 loss if you very miles over 3 years, and if you keep it a year longer I'd imagine it'll drop another couple of grand as it goes in to MOT territory.

4 years lease, with 40,000 miles over the term, is going to cost you £16,000-17,500 leaving you with £12k in the bank/investments, and at the higher price end you could go fully maintained, so no costs at all other than that.

On the face of it, this deal looks like a good saving, but it's not the best deal for this type of car if you do average miles.

No. There's no finance deposit allowance in the pricing. I'm doing a cash deal.

Thanks, just comparing to the Carwow quotes I got the other week, still not sure about getting a new XF, now that I've seen the second hand prices, might buy nearly new instead, and save another 4-6k.

Oh, I assume you test drove one of these?

Remember the lease deals are for R Sport not the Prestige model.

However when I added the Heated Screen, the parking pack with camera, and the folding auto dimming mirrors this rose to £379.

I test drove both the XE and XF. Liked both of them but the XE is just a bit cramped in the back.

Yeah, it's a minefield of extra's with Jag's which is why the Mrs ended up with a Merc instead, since a lot of it is already on there, and you can just add the Premium or Premium Plus pack if you want all the gadgets and gizmo's.

Research it yourself and post back letting others know.

Just had a look and the lease deal I got has gone, but saw this if you are really serious about this car worth considering - 66 Plate Jaguar XF R-Sport - Low Mileage Ex-Management Service Pack from £23,000.

Superb cars. I miss my XF.

Beautiful car. Hate being neighbours with the guy who owns one next to me... wakes me up at 6AM with GRUUUUUUU from the exhaust. Still, lovely car.

Just had the following email from drive the deal...

We are emailing to advise you that our quoted discounts for Jaguar XE and Jaguar XF are only going to be available for factory ordered cars for another few days. To place a factory order for your chosen specifcation and take advantage of the discounted quote that you have seen on our website over the last two weeks, you will need to place an order before Monday 31 July, and prefereably this week in order to be certain of getting the deal. After that time, the price will be substanitally more expensive as we will be unable to place further factory orders at the current quoted discount.

During August, we will then be able to offer you some stock cars at the current discounted prices, but if you do wish to choose your own specification and have your car built to order for September delivery at the current quoted price, you will need to confirm your order by Monday 31st July at the latest, and preferably this week to be certain of getting the deal.

The time deadline has been imposed by the dealer who has been accepting our customers’ orders at these discounts, and we can only place further orders at these prices while the dealer will still accept them. It is possible they will run out of factory build slots this week, but we suspect they will accept an order placed over the weekend.

We have sent you this email because you recently took a quote from our website for a new Jaguar XE or Jaguar XF, we hope you have found it relevant and useful.

With kind regards,

Broker Team
