I bought this a week ago due to the glowing reviews for £67 from amazon. It's out for delivery today and thought I'd check if the price was still low. Well it's back up to £75 at Amazon but I managed to find it for over a tenner less in the sales with free delivery!

Or...it's free!
I’ve got a couple works really well either via airplay or via the app which connect to various services. Recent update added Alexa support too, no mic so have to command it via the app but for the money is really good.

Can set both speakers to either work independently or as a pair left and right or effectively mirror each other but in different rooms.

Did you make that assumption because the word Sonos was used in the title? That's quite the jump. Maybe I'll remove it to avoid confusing people.
OP you seem to be confusing “confusing” with “misleading”. It’s got nothing to do with Sonos other than it’s a wireless speaker. That’s “misleading”

hot hot hot! I have 2 of these which I bought from Amazon for £67, I was already thinking about ordering another 2 and for this price they're an amazing deal. 2 together in a stereo pair sounds great. I've ordered 4 and will send the other 2 back to Amazon as this is cheaper. Don't forget 8% tcb.

I just copied the title from the previous deal. I'll change it to avoid you being misled and confused.

It's probably okay to reference another product though. This is a cheap alternative to a Sonos set up. The reviews often compare this to a Sonos 5.

"It’s got nothing to do with Sonos other than it’s a wireless speaker." That's the entire physical product it has in common then.

Do the two working together sound good? That's cool, I need to test this one first then might order another.
Will these support AirPlay 2?

much better than just one, if you positon them correctly you get proper stereo sound. for the money, they are excellent. obviously Sonos is better but it's also much more expensive
and I don't know why people get so butthurt about Sonos being mentioned, I assume they're the ones who've paid thousands for a Sonos setup and now we're getting something very similar for the fraction of the price

I've ordered - at least I'm aware of the risk! Shame the rhythm (at £37.49) is out of stock.....it will not let you add to basket

Need a new sound system, sounds like these might be worth a shot
Thought I would share this..... you can actually play any Music source applications to the speakers once they have been setup in the jam WiFi app.....For example I grouped two together called them kitchen_Living room...... Downloaded amazon music and it gives me the option to play to the speakers. Have also tried a few radio station apps and all work..... Brillaint they have made them open to play other sources. I dontbelieve you can do this with the Sonos only what they have in the stock application.

I'm lucky. The lady on the chat refunded me instantly. 5-8 working days before it shows but that's fine.
If you want a pair of the Rhythm speakers to expand this, you can get a pair of them for £76 using the 20% ebay code...

Reviews of the symphony are very favourable (even against a sonos 5) so ordered another.

One thing to be aware of - this will not work on 5ghz wifi networks

Thats what I'm going to use mine for and I was going to use the aux in port. If you use non-multiroom speakers, you have to use auxin with the Echo Dots (not bluetooth because they get out of synch). However I have since read reviews/comments that Alexa seems to be able to be commanded to play on specific Jam speakers even if you do not use aux-in. Lots of playing around to be had when the speakers arrive to see what works and what doesn't!

Some further digging - some of the reviewers on Amazon report it cannot be controlled via the Echo and must be done using the Alexa option via the Jam app. but then another reviewer states "Good speaker, you can connect to echo dot by sigining in to you amazon account on the jam app. Speaker then appears on the settings page on the Alexa app. You need to rename eg. Kitchen and when you play through your echo dot you then say play music on kitchen. It then plays on the jam speaker."

Thanks for the info. It sounds a bit complicated. I was hoping to just plug Alexa into the Aux socket and use it as a mic for the Jam speaker.
Received pair of Jam Rhythms today. Had a quick play. Sound quality seems good, no real problems with initial setup using BT smarthub. When you first try to use Alexa option from the Jam App, it prompts you to login into your Amazon account. Once you have done that - you can tell any Echo dot to play music on that speaker.

Unfortunately functionality when you do this is limited. Once you have asked the Echo dot to stream the music - the echo dot takes no further part in controlling the music after that. No change in volume, no skipping tracks, no stopping playing - all of this has to be done from the buttons on the speaker or or the App.

Works from a Spotify subscription account (not via Dot) without any problems. But if you ask the Echo Dot to play music from Spotify on the speaker - it says Spotify cannot be streamed to that device.

Will try experimenting with Aux-in tomorrow.

Got mine just. Sound quality is excellent but app is basic. Need to try aux to and compare sound quality to my other speakers.
Aux works ok but using it isolates the speaker from any others so if using aux it will not relay input to any other speakers. It also means you cannot use two speakers for stereo mode when using Aux

As mentioned above you can voice command the Echo dot to play music on an individual speaker or group of speakers but have no further voice control (via Echo) after that.

So if you want full voice control via Echo dot, you will need to use an echo dot in each room and connect to speaker with aux.

Update - have two Symphonys linked as a stereo pair and two rhythms. Had them running most of the afternoon- there was one or two drop outs (for 2-3 secs) the first 10 mins but after that they have been fine. The Spotify app works really well with the Jam app. Very pleased with them.

I've tested it fully today.

Very very good sound for the price. Comparing it to a Sony x77 just which cost way over double - the jam sounds fuller.

I'm very impressed and so long as you know this is a wifi only speaker i'd urge you to consider one coming from someone who owns a large amound of audio eq. I'd recommend it so long as you have the paid version of spotify or Amazon music.
Out of stock now....
